Practicum Intermediate Learning Goals As the semester begins, I would like to continue to work on enhancing the previous goals and skills in my previous practicum class as well as use more advanced skills. I would like to work on implementing and illustrating enactments and scaling interventions in my sessions/videos. Moreover, continue to work on understanding my limitations, biases, comfort levels and work on being transparent in order
The decision to take this course was rooted in a deepening interest in psychotherapy, self–development, the welfare of other people and in a desire to gain a theoretical base to enrich my current arts and health practice.
By the supervisee’s understanding their own strengths and areas needing growth and support, they can identify and initiate their own future learning development as therapists and supervisors.
Activity 3 – Ability to reflect on own practice and development needs and maintain a plan for personal development

These are the skills and competencies I have learned through my studies at Walden University. Kaslow, Grus, Campbell, & Fouad, et al. (2009) stated professionalism comes from my respect for those who need help. Integrity can be built with confidence in the therapist. Attitudes are charitable, polite, caring emotions toward others that fuel my motivation toward helping. This concern welfare of others comes from my religious and personal experiences as a child and young adult.
practicum goal was to achieve the objective outcomes positively at end of the course. The effectively organized syllabus of the course, and the expert guidance with enriched subject oriented instructions by the instructor Dr. Sellars effort created the thorough understanding of the nursing educator core competencies to align with the Scope of Practice for Academic Nurse Educators 2012 Revision (National League Nursing, 2012). Although I am in the clinical education practice, still I have the plan to extend as the clinical instructor for the student nurses in near future. I prepared to begin with traditional classroom teaching, thereby I can challenge any group of audiences to face to face in teaching or delivering messages through public speaking.
What resources (Monday PD, Coaching sessions, Department meetings, ISA coaches) did I use to improve on my professional goals?
The sixth Student Learning Objective teaches one about the significance of professional and ethical responsibility. Professionalism and ethical behavior at the workplace helps one to develop effective work habits. Kritika used to work in a hospital as administrative assistant and was held responsible for maintaining the record of the patients. While working as an administrative assistant in a hospital, Kritika faced an ethical dilemma when Kritika was asked by one of the senior colleagues to disclose a patient’s information to a third party. The colleague was also one of Kritika’s good friend, who kept on asking for the patient’s detail and offered Kritika a promotion in exchange. Even though Kritika could have accepted the promotion offer
My learning goals for the Advanced Psycho-Diagnostic in Children and Adolescents course are the following:
SB cannot stay still for short periods of time and is up and moving around the classroom. S.B. will need simple, verbal, and repeated directions, structured learning task, and sensory support. I will provide appropriate learning goals for SB and provide manipulative and activities for her and her paraprofessional to work with at her spot on the carpet of seat.
In this competency, I learned that intervention is an ongoing process. In addition, I learned that it important to apply theories in the intervention stage because it helps clients
I believe that the following factors are critical in clinical learning: goal setting and sharing, coaching/guidance and reflections/feedback. For each of these areas, I have identified my strengths, limitations, and tools I can implement in my teaching.
There were also a few professional changes that had occurred during this course in my personal life. In the second journal, I stated that I’m always making a conscious effort to stay self-motivated and
First and foremost, my primary learning goal is to gain a rich, deep understanding of the indigenous people of the Napo region of Ecuador and their culture. I think communication and primary interaction with differing cultures is an incredibly important part of developing skills that are essential to modern business in a global society. Cooperation and collaboration with colleagues around the globe is the new norm and this study abroad program provides the necessary lessons. The second learning objective is to gain direct, hands on knowledge of international marketing. There is no better to way to learn about marketing in an international environment than working with residents of a country thousands of miles away from home. The third learning
As I reflect on the different lessons that I have taught throughout this experience, I can think of many that went well. The students were engaged, they were grasping the material, and asking good questions. These lessons were not only encouraging but also helpful as it gave me some insight as to how my students learned best, and instruction they enjoyed. When I figured those things out, I can implement them into lessons plans for the future. However, not every lesson was like this. As a matter of fact, during the course of my clinical teaching experience, there have been lessons that I struggle to maintain the students’ attention, the students are not understanding the material, I cannot motivate the student to learn the material, and so on. These lessons I have also found to be insightful in such a way that makes me think in a “trouble shooting” manner if you will. Reflecting on both types of lessons are largely beneficial in helping me grow as a future educator.
