The uproar of who should be the next President of the United States came in full swing April 2014. While the Republican Party jumped to an early start by making trips to the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, the Democratic Party lingered on the sidelines. The Republican Party started with seventeen candidates, yet the Democratic Party had only three. However, after the Iowa Caucus, one of the Democratic candidates dropped, leaving only two candidates remaining. Those two candidates are Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. As the race progressed sixteen of the Republican Party candidates dropped, leaving only Donald Trump. With estimated polls, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump would be the two candidates in the 2016 presidential election. Clinton has over thirty-five years of political experience, yet Trump has only business experience, so the decision of who should run the country should be chosen carefully. Although the Republican Party believes Donald Trump should be the next President of the United States, the Democratic Party nominated Hillary Clinton as the best candidate because she has the most accurate solutions for solving some of the main issues in the United States, such as gun control, immigration, and education. Clinton and Trump have two different views on one of the most important issues facing the U.S—gun control. To argue the issue of gun control, Trump presents the Second Amendment. Trump believes there should be no gun-free
The Governor of Texas and the President of the United States are both figureheads for their respective territories. Both serve the function of enforcing the laws enacted by their respective legislatures; however, there are a few key differences that distinguish these two powerful entities from each other. It is important to understand the similarities and differences of these two vital establishments, given their importance in the American and Texas government.
November will be approaching soon and will be time to elect our next President. Bernie Sanders is a seventy-four-year-old male running for the Democratic party. Hillary Clinton is the wife of Ex-President Bill Clinton and also running for the Democratic party. Donald Trump is a businessman running for the Republican nomination to be the President of 2016. Ted Cruz is a senator from Texas and a candidate for the Republican nomination. Jill Stein is a physician and activist who is currently running for the Green Party nomination.
The president is the foreign policy leader for the United States with an important political, military and economic role in the international arena. If there is collision between the president and congress, can congress restrain the president in foreign policy making?

In the 2016 Presidential Election many people, especially young adults, are not happy with the candidates chosen from either the Republican and Democratic side. For the Republicans Donald Trump was chosen, and from the Democratic side Secretary Hillary Clinton was chosen. From the third party former governor Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, and Darrell Castle were all chosen. As the election comes closer more people are starting to panic over who could become the next President of the united States. Senior Kaitlyn Hill explains why she thinks this election is not looking good.
Two of the main political candidates that have made it far enough with a huge votes are Hilary Clinton from the democratic and Donald Trump from the republicans. These two had gained lots of votes comparing any of the candidates that have run so far. Recent result for the New York primaries trump is leading the vote with 60.4 percent from the republicans meanwhile, Clinton won the democrat by 58 percent. Although they seemed to be liked and supported by most part of united states, the real question is that whether or not they are good enough to be the president of United States.
Donald Trump, a wealthy businessman, and Hillary Clinton, former secretary of state, are the presumptive presidential candidates of their political parties in the current election cycle. Both candidates have faced strong opposition within their own parties, as well as from their opposing parties. They share similar views on making voter registration easier, higher taxes on the wealthy, and keeping God in the public sphere. Although Trump and Clinton have some similar beliefs on how to govern the country, they have very different beliefs on health care reform, immigration reform, and second amendment rights.
There are many flaws in the actions of the President of the United States using executive action to shape policies for the United States, but congress plays a major role in the reasons why there are so many issues pertaining to the use of executive action. Another flaw is that it is not spelled out in the constitution that the president is allowed to bypass congress on any issues that are not attended to. Congress makes a huge fuss about the president executing his executive actions but congress is the one from the beginning that granted that right to him in the first place. The presidents use of executive action on issues, that when applied, bypasses congress. Executive Actions are used to remedy a fundamental lack of action by congress
With the issue of gun control, there tends to be many different inferences and questions about what Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are thinking, and what they are going to do to solve this problem. Donald
As of right now, I believe that the two main presidential contenders for the November 2016 presidential elections will be Donald Trump (Republican) and Hillary Clinton (Democrat). Both of these presidential candidates are currently leading in the presidential primaries and appear to be gaining more momentum than the other candidates in their political party. Moreover, I believe the top three ‘hot button’ political issues of this presidential election will be:
The president is the most important job in the United States. Not the ruler of the United States ,but have some power over the country. The president of the United States is a person who symbolize the country and leads the country by making decisions of what is the best thing to do. The president needs to know about the past history such as the conflict of World War I and II and different events that led to violence in our own country. The president of the United States needs to know how the system of the government works and different problems that have been happening right now such as immigration, terrorism and hunger. The president needs to have the people votes so that he or she could be able to have the position of being the president
The President of the United States is often referred to as the most powerful person in the world. This position offers presidents a unique opportunity to reach a large audience and to command its attention. Presidents frequently use this advantage as a “bully pulpit” to persuade citizens and to vote for favored legislation.
The President of the United States has a very important, and no doubt, stressful job. Yet not a king, the President carries multiple job titles which include, but not limited to: chief of state, chief executive, chief legislator, and commander in chief. Harry Truman (33rd U.S. President), displayed to the whole world his role as commander in chief, when he made the decision to drop two atomic bombs on Japan, in April of the year 1945. President Truman’s actions and reasons for the bombings showed that he used a utilitarianism view, as the bases of his decision.
Ironically both Trump and Clinton have similar views on gun control. Both candidates recognize our rights to bear arms but feel the government needs to be much harsher in regulating who can and cannot buy guns. Both encourage background checks to be made when buying a gun and state that if a person isn't allowed to fly, they aren't allowed to buy a gun. Lastly, Clinton and Trump stated that those who are mentally ill need to be restricted from buying a gun.
Hillary Clinton believes that gun culture in the United States has become disorderly and has reached the point where almost 90 people a day die from gun violence. Considering these facts, Clinton has been advocating stricter gun control as early as 2000. In her recent presidential campaigns and debates, she proposes that background checks and closing the gun loopholes are necessary. If American lives are in danger because of the purchase of a gun from an illegal dealer/manufacturer, Clinton believes in holding them accountable as well. Finally, she also believes in preventing violent criminals and mentally ill people from obtaining guns. Although Clinton believes that tougher laws are necessary, she believes we must stay consistent with the
