There are many leadership styles which are prevalent in the market each consisting of their own pros and cons. Their feasibility is determined by the personality of the leader and the organizational culture involved.
The first leadership style under consideration is the autocratic style which is also known as authoritarian. They make decisions based on their own ideas and perspectives and demand little or no feedback from the employees. They exercise complete control over the group members and make choices based on their judgment. However they are not always suitable for every organization. As noted in my research every leader should have a flexible attitude not a rigid and constant one to increase and improve efficiency and teamwork.
There are some situations that demand the authoritarian style of leadership. When there are a lot of group members and the leader has to take a stand to make the decision in a sure and consistent manner. He motivates his employees by the systematic system of rewards and punishment. They make sure that the employees follow rules exactly and precisely without any mishaps and determent. Their personality styles and way of working aligns with the transactional leaders. A bureaucratic leader will demand complete discipline and the code of conduct to be business-like. They exercise power and authority bestowed upon them by the company or supreme authority. Employees are usually promoted on the basis of their conformity of rules and structural procedures.
