Populations Affected by Disabilities or Homeless Populations. This is an assessment about Hickory County, Missouri population. The goal is to assess the effects of disabilities or homeless influences and the health literacy of a population. I choose this County because I have a lot of relative lives in this area, and I have been over this county to visit them so many times. This is a very interesting county for me to do a research on. For an accurate research data, there are several methods have been utilized to obtain assessment data, including media resources, call the county public health department, and run a search of articles from a local newspaper and records. Firstly, we will talk about Hickory’s demographics. Hickory County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. The percent of high school graduate and bachelor’s degree are both lower in Hickory County compared to the total U.S. population. It may cause a lower income and decrease the chance to find a job in the
Global warming is not myth, but is a real thing. Scientists have proven that over and over global warming is real. According to scientific reports 11 out of 12 years have ranked among the warmest on record. This increase temperature has many effects on the environment. Global warming creates nature?s imbalance and it has big impact on weather. Global warming is big part of the reason for sudden heat waves, storms and floods. There are many causes for global warming, but two main causes are burning fossil fuel and deforestation. Both of these causes increase greenhouse gases in the environment which creates greenhouse effects, the scientific reason for global warming.
Given the highly competitive nature of today’s markets we as a company must provide high quality products to survive. Quality itself has become a major competitive factor and in many ways is a contributing factor in success or failure. The intent of this memo is to identify, explain and evaluate the three types of cost associated with quality.
As we continue to move toward the end our quarterly objectives. I wanted to take the time to explain some of our costs. In our particular field of designing and manufacturing products, we are always engaging in ways that we can mitigate loss and improve our processes. Performing such changes will give a stronger presence in the market by allowing us to remain competitive.

The National Center for Learning Disabilities (2016) or NCLD was founded in 1977. She was referred to a diabetes care team for specialist treatment and monitoring when she was diagnosed with diabetes as diabetes can’t be cured but treated. Because its on-going the treatment is to ensure that her blood glucose level is as normal as possible, to control her symptoms and to prevent health problems developing later in life. Because Rhea’s body doesn't produce insulin, she needs regular insulin injections to keep her glucose levels normal as diabetes can cause serious long-term health problems. For example, it's the most common cause of blindness in people of working age. Because of this Rhea is encouraged to have her eyes screened at least once a year for diabetic retinopathy. Diabetes is also the reason for many cases of kidney

The advantages of the use of secondary data in needs assessment, design and implementation of intervention measures, and policy changes are numerous. Secondary data are less expensive, this implies that time, money and other resources are saved (Healey & Zimmerman, 2010). My focus for this discussion is Case Study 2, which addressed the health needs assessment of the Waupaca County. Waupaca County, Wisconsin is a rural community of over 50,000 residents (Gilmore, 2012). Given that, it is a popular tourist location, and the survey given had a clause of “do not complete if you are not a city resident”, there exists a chance that all data obtained by primary sources might not be without errors, as tourists might erroneously fill out the survey. Consequently, the secondary method I will apply to collection of data is the use of the American Fact Finder from the United States Census Bureau (n.d.).
Sandrae, your discussion board post covered all of the questions thoroughly and accurately. You provided a lot of detailed and well organized information, excellent job. The chart you provided was exceptional and the chart clearly highlights the differences between the structure, tasks, culture, and strategy of the learning organization and performance organization. Vertical and horizontal structures are very different. The horizontal structure eliminates the old school departmental boundaries of the vertical structure and the horizontal structure allows organizations to improve processes (Daft, 2013).
A variety of data will be required to test the theory of effectiveness being employed. Firstly, data will be required regarding incidences where in EMNC could be faced with lawsuits ranging from: patient negligence to a, failure to protect nursing staff and other health care workers from injury. Other data will come from the literature on health care giver standards that have been shown to help avoid lawsuits, (e.g. failure to use equipment in a responsible manner, failure to communicate, failure to document patient care and failure to act as a patient advocate).
For example, we could calculate the IQ difference for each subject by subtracting their IQ while taking a placebo from their IQ while taking the new drug. If our sample average was positive, it would mean that, on average, our subjects had a higher IQ while they were taking the experimental drug than they had while taking the placebo.
As per Elaine Anderson's request a few days back, I've removed all RVL03 packs and replaced them with pack RVL3T for all RR Velars from the "Holding Pool" status (Vista Status Code 10) up until the "On Ship" status (Vista Status Code 150). A total of 5,222 packs were modified which would equate to a revenue loss of about $271,335.

This review of literature will assess organizations influencing health literacy within Cayce Homes in Nashville, and then a new intervention will be proposed to fill the gaps that currently exist. Unfortunately, actual health literacy rates within Cayce Homes have not been measured, so assumptions made about Cayce’s health literacy status are based off demographic trends. First of all, higher levels of education are linked to higher health literacy (US Department of Health, 2013). Residents of Cayce Homes are zoned to attend Stratford High, which has a graduation rate of 62%, a rate much lower than the Nashville average of 87.1% (US News, 2013). Thus, fewer residents of Cayce Homes have a high school diploma, leaving them at-risk in regards to health literacy. Poverty is also linked to low health literacy rates (US Department of Health, 2013). As of 2014, 19% of Nashville residents were reported to live in poverty. According to Cayce United, all 2,000 residents of Cayce are in poverty, 87% are African American, 45% have disabilities, and 60% of households with children are single parent. Residents of Cayce are at risk for experiencing negative consequences linked with low health literacy. (Cayce United, 2015).
