Statement 1
Proverbs 25:2 says,"It is the glory of God to conseal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out. " Qualitative research focuses on deeper issues and asked the questions of how, when and why people do things. Quantitative research behaves in a quantified since and assigns numerical values to responses and measure statics. With this said Proverbs, the bible verse, supports that research methods can be Godly. I interpret that verse as meaning that it is important to know and confirm in your mind that you know something, but it is better to research the topic in a biblical since rather thas a secular or worldly since. the glory of kings is researching and becomeing stronger on a topic. Pshycologists often study

With this said Qualitative Research in non-statical and most of their cases are non-represented cases and full fill a given time line. This method is best because it investigates information and gives a better understanding for future decision making. This method does this without making general observations about the population of interest.
Statement 2
Quantitative research methods are best because they use quantity data to obtain results from the population of interest. This for example can be bases on what the majority feels. The method uses measures in the view and opinion of others and who feels them the most or less. This method can be chosen at random representing the population of interest. They collect their data by telephone interviews, online questionnaires, and sometimes on the street. This is usually the final and best method to go to when choosing a course of action. This is best to research something further and usually comes after Qualitative research. 1 Chronicles 29:17 "I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously".
Principle C: Integrity:"Psychologists seek to promote accuracy, honesty, and truthfulness in the science, teaching, and practice of psychology. In these activities psychologists do not steal, cheat, or engage'in fraud,
There are two major approaches used in the nursing research which are qualitative and quantitative methods. However, we can use both plans to do the nursing research. If both methods used in the nursing research, it will be called the mixed approach. The qualitative analysis is the method where researchers use the process of inquiry and look answers how and why a phenomenon occurs in a situation. The examples of the qualitative approach are phenomenology, grounded theory ethnography, and qualitative
Quantitative research is done to find the accurate facts by evaluating the problems like opinion, behaviour by using numerical data. This research is based on theories, hypothesis, collecting, analysing the data to make the research accurate.
According to Yin (2003), there are two types of research approach. This includes quantitative research approach and qualitative research approach. A quantitative research emphasizes on transforming the data to numbers, quantities and statistics to formulate facts and to uncover patterns in a research. It addresses research purposes through empirical analysis that involve numerical measurement, the relationship between variables and analysis approaches (Zikmund et al., 2010). The sample size being investigated is typically large (Anderson, 2006). Quantitative research mainly uses questionnaires, surveys and other equipment to collect numerical or measurable data (Anderson, 2006). On the other hand, a qualitative research typically emphasizes words more than numbers
Quantitative research is an approach that uses theory, variables, measurements and statistical analyses to test theories (Creswell, 2013). Qualitative research is an approach that does not rely on proving a theory, a set of variables, or running an experiment. Rather, a qualitative research approach allows for exploring and understanding meaning individuals or groups ascribe to a social or human problem. A qualitative approach allows for meaning and explanations to develop through, interviews, review of artifacts, and observations (Neuman, 2002).
For quite a while there has been some discussion around which method of distinctions between Qualitative research and quantitative research. This has been fired in later years with some thinking that a combination of the two is best practice especially in social
Quantitative research methods are objective as it uses measurements and analysis of statistical data to answer the study question. The researchers’ opinions do not affect the outcome of the study, ensuring that the study is unbiased. Another advantage is quantitative research uses numbers and statistics which is understood universally (Houser,2008).
Principle B: Fidelity and Responsibility – According to Trevino and Youngblood (1990) ethical misconduct should be pointed out whenever we can spot it, “but it is always to be done with respect to the researcher who conducted it, as decision-making in relation to ethics is fairly complex and influenced by factors that may lie beyond one’s control” (Trevino & Youngblood, p. 378, 1990). Principle C: Integrity – Psychologists have a serious obligation to consider the need for, “the possible consequences of, and their responsibility to correct any resulting mistrust or other harmful effects that arise from the use of such techniques” (APA, 2010). Principle D: Justice – Relates to fairness and justice, concluding that all persons have access to and benefit from the contributions of psychology, i.e. freedom of press. Lastly, Principle E: Respect for People’s Rights and Dignity – Involves obtaining an individual’s consent and protecting their confidentiality and
Frank Hatley was recently released from jail after serving time for owing back child support for a child that was later proven by DNA testing not to be his. (8/11/09). http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/08/11/georgia.child.support/index.html. Currently, there are no studies that assess the recovery process of a victim of paternity fraud. After a year in jail, what becomes of a man’s employment, family, finances, or mentality?
For example, the second principle fidelity and responsibility outlines the value of conscientiousness in the psychological practice and research. The principle states that psychologists “are concerned about the ethical compliance of their colleagues’ scientific and professional conduct. Psychologists strive to contribute a portion of their professional time for little or no compensation or personal advantage.” Another example can be found in the third principle, integrity. This principle states that “psychologists should seek to promote accuracy, honesty, and truthfulness in the science, teaching, and practice of psychology.” It prohibits theft, fraud, deception, and other types of professional misconduct. Lastly, the first principle, beneficence, and nonmaleficence states that all psychologists should strive to help their patients and should not seek to do them harm. This principle explicitly prohibits conflicts of interests. If a psychologist has a conflict of interest when dealing with a patient, they should resolve the conflict in a way that minimizes harm to the
The researcher will look at different methods and decide which should use to gather the information required to answer the hypothesis questions. These methods may both include quantitative and qualitative approach such as interviews, questionnaires, conducting experiments or gathering data through statistic. After choosing appropriate methods, the researcher will investigate possible ethical implications, validity and reliability of the data collected.
The type of method that my research will be based on is qualitative research. I will be collecting analysing and interpreting data by observing what people think and their actions (do and say). I will be creating questionnaires in which I will be able to get the opinions of other people.•
Research methodology generally involves qualitative research or quantitative research, or a mixture of both. A quantitative research methodology involves the analysis of data collected from a large number of surveys or interviews. On the other hand, methodologies for qualitative research often involve using surveys or interviews to collect information about people — their attitudes, experiences and behaviors.
Methods of quantitative research includes surveys and data, which is then presented as statistics. It is then collected by a big group such as the Census. The downfalls of quantitative methods of research include being that it offers less depth in information as they generally place emphasis on a much larger number of cases. The outcomes of quantitative research are more often than not, used to present findings to a wide or whole population (Punch, 1998). Qualitative methods of research is essentially gathering information and data, by creating focus groups, and conducting field research and intensive reviews.
Quantitative research defines the research that can produce statistics, solid facts, and numbers. It uses measurements and statistical analyses.
Qualitative research is used to find out and understand the beliefs of individuals. Knowledge attitudes, behavior and interactions. It produces non- numerical data, e.g. How a patient describes pain instead of a measure of pain. In health care, qualitative techniques have been commonly used in health care in documenting the experiences of chronic illness and in studies about how an organization functions. Quantitative research provides statistical
