I’m writing to nominate the rock band Aerosmith for induction into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame. Aerosmith should be in the hall of fame because they made rap-rock popular and they brought it to the Top 100 on the Billboard. They have made many albums and they have played for a super bowl halftime show. They have had several tours that have sold millions of tickets. Their song “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” was #1 on Billboard Top One hundred twice. They have been playing for 47 years this has shown their musical dedication. This has also shown the world that they are an excellent band that isn't done making amazing. So this is why myself and others want them to be forever remembered in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame.
First of all Def. Leppard should get this award because they have very good musical and are a pretty sweet bad. The other reasons I think they should get this award is because they have a lot of achievements. The first achievement that I liked was they were on the “Bill Board 200 with their song “Hysteria”, sold 10,000 in the first week of it being out, and also with the song Hysteria spent six weeks at number one and 133 weeks on the Bill Board 200.”(Caulfield 57) There next achievement was that there was a big accident and there main drummer lost his arm. So he was back to playing the drums. That’s when they made the big hit “Hysteria in 1983 whit there album “Pyromania” after the car accident.” (Tamenbaum 16). There next big achievement was that “Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell had there amazing guitar abilities over looked.” (Hammond 16-20). The next achievement I believe is very good because “Def. Leppard and Kiss are paring up to go on tour to support our troops in the U.S.A.” (Fekadu) The next award that they received was “The 2008 Kerrag award also known as the “Classic Song Writer
Yesterday, Pearl Jam were (rightfully) nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next year, in their first year of eligibility.
Rock ‘N’ Roll’s birth came after the Great Depression and World War II. It was in the 50’s called the baby boomers that started it all. It expanded the teenage population with 3.4 million babies born. The 1950’s scrap the ideology of a conservative family, where the father is the bread winner and the mother was a stay home mother. The young adults found an escape and enjoyment in Rock ‘N’ Roll.
When I first browsed through the different topics on which we were to write essays on, I was ecstatic when I saw one about rock and roll. Once I started skimming through all the bands and artists I know and love, I knew there would be no problem writing this essay. I firmly believe that I was born in the wrong generation of music because I am a hardcore oldies junkie at heart. For this reason, the bands I have selected are as follows: The Beastie Boys, Fleetwood Mac, The Police, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, and The Righteous Brothers.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees the best rock and roll artists ever, but they forgot the Doobie Brothers. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should induct the Doobie Brothers. The Doobie Brothers formed in San Jose, California in 1970. Patrick Simmons, John McFee, and Tom Johnston are the current band members. They are one of the few bands who successfully alternated their genre of music. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should induct the Doobie Brothers.
Music is an Art form that has been around since humans were created All around the world music is played in many different forms and styles. As early as the 1950 's, a new style of music was being created in the Untied States, one that forever changed the world. Not only did it bring a completely different sound, but it changed the way people acted, dressed, and even people 's lifestyles. This new style of music became known as Rock and Roll. It drew many from a one-way path to a sea of possibilities musically. Me being a music lover really enjoyed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame site. Rock and Roll have sheltered and comforted me in many times of needs. For as long as I can remember as a kid and throughout my painful adolescence years, and also as an adult, it has inspired me to appreciate the music of all kinds throughout the years.
Admission to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in Cleveland, has been postponed for the current week, apparently so Republican National Convention-goers can unreservedly visit the "Louder Than Words: Rock, Power, and Politics" show shortly possessing its upper floors. This appears like a smart thought. For quite a long time, Republican crusades have profoundly misjudged, regularly in clever ways, the most developmental and vital belief systems of rock music, as prove by their unending avoiding of restraining requests from performers who don 't need their dissident hollers related, even incidentally, with preservationist motivation.
Imagine yourself outside with thousands of people in midsummer, on the beach with your friends, dancing around, hitting beach balls in the air, and drinking your favorite drink. Then suddenly the concert starts, you hear the song Storm Warning start to play, and see the fog rise above the stage, and then Hunter Hayes starts rising from underneath the stage into the fog, and he starts to sing. Due to Hunter Hayes’s awards/nominations, charitable contributions, and impact/inspiration on his life proves beyond a doubt that the CMA Hall of Fame should induct this person.
Pei. The Museum cover all aspects of Rock & Roll, the museum also honors the inductees of the Hall of Fame. There are four categories that people are separated into in the museum. The four categories are Performers, Non- Performers, Early Influences, and Side-Men. There are certain conditions that contribute to being added into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The reasons why the Foo Fighters are destined for the rock and roll hall of fame are Dave Grohl’s personality, their love and passion for what they do, and their style of music.
Does little richard deserve to be in the rock and roll hall of fame? I think that little richard deserves to be in the rock and roll hall of fame because he was one of the most influential musicians of the 50’s and 60’s. He had influenced many people like like the beatles. He was trying to promote a new kind of performance style and his performances we often considered “flamboyant” and over the top.
Rock and roll has developed a long way throughout the years from a dance craze in the 1950’s to a political and cultural landscape that is recognized worldwide. Rock and roll has come to define the roots of teenage rebellion, people who don’t follow the norms, and have disrespect for authority. The style of rock and roll itself is a melting pot of music, a combination of sounds that include jazz, country, blues, ragtime, gospel, swing, classical, and ethnic music. It can be a simple variation of three chords to a complex chromatic scale combination. It can convey emotions such as love, hate, fear, lust, sadness, joy, disillusion, or a strong sense of reality. Many things can be said about rock but the fact is that it is the most widely
In the 1980's, an underground movement began picking up steam in Los Angeles. This movement is usually refered to as hardcore. The hardcore movement was much faster and aggressive, stripped away the glamor of the 1970's punk movement and kept the raw unbridled energy and angst that was at the core of the 70's punk movement.
I am pleased to nominate Zury Lopez for the Rock Star Award. Zury is a hard working individual who takes her time to help anyone and everyone around her. She has a warm and cheerful personality that makes everyone new to WTW feel welcomed and at ease.
Radiohead is a national phenomena by helping create a different and unique genre of music. They have had great accomplishments in their careers that have made impacts in music, and how they have influenced the world of music. They have helped created a different genre and became an independent artist. They have donated to many charities and have won many awards. They should be inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame not only from how they stand out from other artists, but the sound of their music, and what they have accomplished.
