Social class is a “tag” to define your status in a community. One of the main requirements you must have to be in the Upper class, is to have wealth and power. That is basically it, and obviously the absence of those characteristics could mean you are in a Middle or even in the Lower class. Sports are an activity that people do for pleasure that requires physical activity and sometimes has rules for the players to follow in order to play the game. It is most commonly played outdoors. It can improve your cardio, health, and physical condition. For example, it can prevent things like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer or even mental illnesses like depression.

Social class describes the different "layers" that exist in society. These "layers," or classes in society, are a division that civilization has been running on ever since the beginning of mankind. In most modern societies, our system of social class division is one of opportunity. We experience a good deal of social mobility, where people through generations or in their own lifetime can move up or down the social scale. By examining the many different perceptions of social class along with S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders, it is illustrated that social class has an impact on people while they are growing up, and will usually deny them from rising above adversity.

There are many people throughout the world that are born into different socio-economic status. In the United States there are 3 typical socio-economic statuses, upper class, middle class, and working class. The majority of people are born into the working class and try to make their way up. The main way people believe to go up a class in America is through education, but how does socio-economic class play a role in the amount of education one will receive in their future?

Orenthal James Simpson.” This eminent motto marked a key turning point in what is known as the most publicized criminal trial in American history. Jean Ayon is a professor of educational policy, an American critical thinker, and a researcher in education. She works on race and class in urban education and is a social activist. In her article “Social Class and the Hidden Curriculum of Work” she uses research from elementary schools that contrast in social class to try and understand if social class is the dictating factor that decides the future careers of children. Anyon examines the role of social class in education and creates a study by observing four types of schools, working-class schools, middle-class schools, affluent professional schools, and executive elite schools. So what are the causes of this social class hierarchy and what can be done to stop it? The problems appear to be evident at all levels of education including early childhood, primary and secondary education and tertiary education. Studies in education across the world show that the success rates at school are greatly determined by the student’s parents. In particular, their occupational status, money they earn and education. Throughout this documentary, we see how social and economic class affect the views of others. It changes how people are perceived throughout classes and how it not only affects our cultures, and opinions but can also possibly predict the classes of our future generations. In America, it is seen as almost impossible for families who are already in the bottom two rings of social class to move up, and they hope for their children to do better. However, what would happen if social classes were nonexistent? How would our world change? Essentially, there are both positives and negatives but the positive causes might not be worth the negatives.

What is social class? Social Class is the separation based on social and economic status. The different social classes there is are the upper class, middle class, working class, and lower class. In the U.S. all students should have the right to the same opportunity towards their success or educational goals, but when we think about education, does it cross our minds if the type of social class a student is in can affect their educational opportunities? Some may argue that no matter where a student gets their education from, it’s the same thing and it depends on the student if they want to finish their success after high school. Social class can affect a student by ways such as having the lack of parental involvement with the student or school, the access to resources, and environment they live in.
