The thing that surprises me most about the SDAP program are the students who are both very determined in their own ways. They might learn from me that they can have a friend to rely on and talk to. Even the first time meeting one of the students he seemed very comfortable with me. By the end of our session he told me that he really enjoyed hanging out with me and called me his friend.
