Engineering, when I think about it or hear about it, the first thing that flashes in my mind is that preparing toy cars with bottle caps and cardboard. From childhood my thoughts, imaginations was about creating a toy or a thing from scrap. When, I was in my school I read a magazine about cars which created a zeal in me to know more about automobile and I started a bit of research about it. Encouraged and inspired by all those fascinating models that came forth from my own dexterity, eventually I decided to pursue a career in Mechanical engineering. Alongside from routine curriculum, daily I seek to learn a part or working of a part in an engine. This made to take a masters course in Automotive Engineering.
Right from childhood I am a meritorious student being in the top 5% of the school in every academic year. I completed my SSC from Tagore's High School with 90.16%. I stood in top 10% of the school in mathematics competition conducted by 'All India Mathematics Teachers Association'. For the excellency in studies I received silver medal in HDFC

I believe engineering is the path to a better world. My interest in engineering really took hold when I joined the FIRST Robotics Club (Tractor Technicians) as a Sophomore and made the drive team: a drive team consists of four teammates who represent their club on the competition floor. We built, programmed, and tested our robot for months. The most incredible part of this experience was witnessing a single hand on a keyboard control our entire robot that I helped build. The intensity of the competition can be compared to that of a soccer game. However, instead of sprinting and kicking, we use our minds and engineering principles to analyze the situation and fix or improve issues that present themselves. Similarly, I would like to apply this trouble shooting mentality to more important issues. After robotics, I took the initiative to pursue an online computer science class. This class has proven to be more challenging than I anticipated, however, the growth I have seen in myself is exceptional. This rewarding experience has increased my interest in the field of engineering. I have also taken the opportunity to get real-world experience through a work study program in the IT/IS department on Kwajalein. I assist technicians in the field as we repair and replace computers and printers. These experiences and relationships have widened my perspective of the engineering and technology
Because of the people I chose to surround myself around, I found myself wanting to go into the field of engineering. My friends knew I had a passion for math and they suggested engineering as an occupation I should look into. As of result of that, I found myself getting into more hands-on projects in my last two years of high school, as well as taking an engineering focused course in high school to try it out. I fell in love with the career path and since then, I aspire to become an
I am very much interested in the field of engineering and hope to pursue a career in engineering sometime in the future. Although I haven’t decided which branch of engineering I want to pursue yet, my experiences as an engineering magnet student at Wheaton High school and the different engineering programs I am a part of have ignited within me a passion for engineering.
When I decided to become an engineer, I thought hard on what that entailed. I saw myself working on hands on projects with a skill and proficiency that I could truly be proud of. That's why after listening to the presentation for Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology in my freshman year here at Texas A&M I knew that this major was the best fit for me. The mentioning of learning how to manufacture and produce things from conception to finished product was very exciting to me. I also appreciate that the education is very application oriented rather than just teaching theoretical content. I feel that this directly prepares one for a future career in industry and this sense of job security is what really attracted me to this engineering
My perception for Mechanical Engineering has always been of very high level. Very early from my childhood, I had the passion and enigma to become a successful mechanical engineer. My interest was further enhanced because of my Brother. He had graduated from a reputed university and now works as a senior engineer in a renowned company in the US, His talent, combined with uniqueness and exuberance is something that pushes me to prove myself and that bodes well with my passion for the subject.
Staring at engine components of a car as well as holding a smartphone with almost unbelievable thickness fascinated me in many ways indirectly leaded me into getting to know more through different sources about machines ranging from transportation to communication devices. Two years of A-level preparation, further solidified my interest in this area as I found myself very fond of learning mathematics, physics and mechanics in particular. In addition, my curiosity in the operation and dynamics of objects naturally influences my choice of degree, leading me towards Engineering as it is a discipline which satisfy my own interest and most probably bring out the best of me.
Engineering and Robotics is my career and technical area. Throughout my four years of high school, I have learned about the engineering design process, automated manufacturing, digital electronics, and robotic systems. I plan to further develop the skills I have gained in my career and technical area as I pursue a bachelor of science degree in Computer Engineering.
showing signs of an interest within engineering. As I grew older, so did this interest,
Up until the eighth grade, I wasn’t certain what I planned to do after high school, I had at least four different plausible career choices, and none of them were exactly conceivable. It wasn't until I took a Gateway To Technology class, that I discovered the Engineering field. It was the first year the school district had introduced the program, and it sounded intriguing. Our instructor gave us a research assignment; to explore different engineering fields and how they help the community.
My true passion for engineering began when I came across the quote: "Technology are devices that make our lives better". Despite my first love of mathematics, my recent interest for engineering has come from two major influences. The first being my mathematics and physics teachers, both engineers by nature, who have helped me enhance the fundamental skills essential for engineering and embrace the importance of the field. The second being the learning about uses of technology in Computer Science, it taught me the magnitude of which technology contributes to our everyday lives has led me to intensify my desire to improve the lives of others.
I have also got the chance to get a lot of insight into the processes of casting and welding. In my final year I took Production Planning and Control & Maintenance Engineering as my elective so that I could get initiated into the field. I got to know the basic operations of different mechanical systems of the automobile like the I.C. engine, brakes, clutches, powertrain, transmission and differentials. A Master’s degree would allow me to delve deeper into individual aspects of Industrial Engineering by studying and examining them in greater detail and gain practical experience by way of relevant internships. Hence Master’s in Industrial Engineering became an obvious necessity.
A five-foot five-inch replica of the Empire State Building that I stacked entirely with playing cards back in high school was the first time I appreciated the subtleties involved in creating complex card structures. I gradually progressed to stacking domes and a full-sized stadium, but the way this tower held together fascinated me, and I realized that there was much more going on in addition to the seemingly obvious concept of maintaining the right balance. After all, nothing could be that simple. Likewise, after four years of undergraduate studies in civil engineering, it seems to me I have barely scratched its surface. A graduate school will allow me to delve deep and let me explore the finer aspects of the field. Furthermore, this is crucial in terms of achieving my long-term goal of pursuing a PhD to carve out a career in industrial research.
I have literally known what I want to be since I was a toddler. Of course, as a three-year old putting together Legos, I could not have verbalized that I want to be a mechanical engineer. However, it was at that time that I began to develop and use the skills that I will need for my desired career. I began to consider how parts went together and the different components necessary to build and sustain various systems. Part of the inspiration was the simple fun that I had while putting together these small toys, but part of my inspiration was my father. He was a maintenance turn-around coordinator at an oil refinery, which led to my own desire to work as a mechanical engineer in a refinery one day. As I grew older, my interest in mechanical engineering remained constant, though I expanded my interest beyond the oil refineries. In fact, after attending a pre-college program, Jackling Introduction to Engineering, offered by Missouri Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri in the summer of 2011, I realized that engineering was the perfect way to exercise my curiosity and inventiveness in a constructive and productive manner.
My interest towards mathematics made me to take Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the main subjects during my intermediate (10+2). After obtaining 94% marks in Intermediate and securing a top 6% rank in engineering entrance test, I opted for Computer Science Engineering in JNTU College of Engineering. Immediately after my Bachelor’s degree, I secured the job in Wipro Technologies and this offered me numerous opportunities to learn about the technical aspects of Software industry.
I would spend hours together experimenting and analyzing various mechanics around me like the ball bearings in my bicycle & roller skates and would be fascinated by my spring loaded toy cars. During my higher secondary schooling, I showed special interest in mathematics and physical sciences and in order to supplement the education that I received in school, I became a habitual reader of science magazines and books. As a direct consequence of this, I came to know about the latest developments in the field of science and engineering, especially aerospace and manufacturing engineering as it deeply interested me and I was naturally inclined to like the subject. The basics I learnt in school only whetted my appetite for more learning. It was but natural I would choose to take up manufacturing engineering as a career choice when I joined
