My involvement in all subject matter, both in and out of class I found that through the reading, writings, and class discussions I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the material. Carolyn Foster Segal sarcastically discussed the numerous reasons students came to her in need of turning in assignments late. Most reasons were so redundant and absurd that she had to title her essay about her experiences as a college professor, "The Dog Ate My Disk, and Other Tells of Woe." However, as a student, I can understand why a student face so many obstacles while seeking success in their overall education and, specifically, seeking punctuality in their assignments. Whether it is from their home situation, overall well-being, the work itself, or their life outside of school and family, there are several excuses that can justify the late submission of an assignment.
I accept late assignments; however, each late assignment will be penalized with a 10% grade deduction for each day late, unless you have made prior arrangements with me. Assignments are due by 11:59 p.m., the day after class meets. For this class, that would be11:59 p.m. on Fridays. If I do not receive it by that time, the assignment is considered late. Additionally, late assignments are not accepted for your final assignment. I am required to turn in grades within seven days of the last night of class. Any time you feel that you might be falling behind in the course, it is best to contact me to discuss your situation.
Participation is the act of participating and being involved in activities, decisions, planning and sharing. Participation is important for the children as well as the parents in school settings. When parents and children are involved in decision-making it allows them to feel connected to the school and feel like their voice is being heard and wishes met. Children feel that their opinions and feelings matter, this is important to social skill development, as they will feel apart of the school community. Children who participate in school activities such as sports gain self-confidence and team building skills. Communication skills improve, stress is relieved and friendships build as children learn to trust and depend on their peers.
A1. The nursing profession has evolved significantly over the decades. One of the factors that have greatly influenced these changes has been the involvement of nurses in the development of theories and data base needed to support the advancement of our profession. In the last half of the twentieth century, nurse researchers (1950s) and nurse theorists (1960s and 1970s) greatly contributed to the expanding body of nursing knowledge with their studies of nursing practice and the development of nursing models and theories (American Nurses Association, 2010, p. 16). Like in any other research activity, a special set of
Any absences of course or assignments failed to be turned in are 100% students responsibility unless proven otherwise.

According to Shellebarger & Edwards (2012), Nurse Educators help shape the future of nursing by educating future novice nurses. Nurse Educators have a core curriculum to follow to ensure lifelong learning in their role. They help shape critical thinking skills in our future nurses by giving them the knowledge needed to think critically. “ Evidence has found that hospital based nurse educators influence safe patient outcome through contemporary evidence based teaching and their contribution of policy development supports safe practice” (Sayers,2012, p. 45). Nurse Administrators take on the role of patient advocates, by ensuring that patients are receiving the highest level of care (Hamic, Hanson, Tracy, & O’Grady, 2014). Nurse Administrators are an important part of management of nurses , they help develop policies and procedures and are change agents in their fields. The Nurse Educator and the Nurse Administrator should be

First, you must show up to class. Then you need to ask questions, provide feedback, suggest ideas, help a peer on the computer, etc. Students are expected to actively participate in each class and in Blackboard discussions and assignments. Participation is defined as working actively within the class or your assigned group(s), adding to the discussion of in-class activities, whether role-plays debriefing, case analysis, or learning opportunities in the classroom, and posting responses to and questions for discussion threads assigned in Blackboard. Participation will be included as part of the grade in this course. You will be assessed on your participation in the classroom (beyond simply attended class) and your participation in discussion threads. So, you will have to actively be in class and participating each week to earn your points. Active input from students in regard to their experience and opinions will enrich the class experience. In addition, a student’s interactive involvement in all discussion posts and assigned activities is important for creating a shared learning environment. This includes during class as well as participating in online discussions outside of class.
