Serial killers have been a topic of interest for decades. One of the most well known serial killers in America is Ted Bundy. He is known for the horrific nature and extent of his murders. Over the span of about four years he committed over two dozen confirmed murders, and possibly many more unconfirmed murders. He is perhaps the most well known serial killer in the history of America. Ted Bundy had an interesting early life, a specific agenda when it came to his victims, many tactics to lure victims, he escaped prison twice, was sentenced to death by electric chair, and he left behind a legacy long after he died.

There have been many witness accounts of him in a sling or a cast on his limbs to try and get women to help him (“Ted Bundy”). This is not the only tactic he used. Dressing up as a police officer or fireman was not an uncommon way for him to get victims (“Ted Bundy”). When he would have on a fake cast or sling, he would use the sympathy that injured people garnered to help lure his victims to secluded places. To do this he would ask his victims to help him get something from his car and lead them away from people. After he got them to a secluded place he would hit them over the head with a crowbar or pipe (“Ted Bundy”). He also made changes to his car to better transport his victims. In order to ensure that he would not get caught, he took out the passenger seat of his car so that his victims could not see out of it, and so other people could not see in (“Ted Bundy”). That was not all he did to try and delay his inevitable death. He also offered insight on unsolved murders that he had committed and even tried to take his trial to the Supreme Court in order to stall as long as he possibly could (“Ted Bundy Biography”). His stalling only worked for so long before he finally had to pay for his horrendous crimes. On the morning of January 24, 1989 he was killed by an infamous electric chair at the Florida State Prison (“Ted Bundy Biography”). This caused happiness to sweep across the nation. Many citizens were happy about the outcome of his trial.
