Unfortunately, people living in the contemporary society still suffer from various kinds of discrimination. For some reason, people still tend to label others because of their color of skin, gender, social status, etc. The director of the movie “Crash” Paul Haggis aims to tell the audience that the divisions are only in the human heads. Besides, he is trying to prove that people are not good or bad; they just act according to the situation. Thus, all of the characters described in the movie have both good and bad features. The only example of moral virtues is a little girl, who wanted to sacrifice her life for the sake of her father. Daniel has a little daughter and works very hard to provide her with a decent level of life. He does not have much time to spend with his little kid, and all he can do is to tell her fairy tales before going to sleep. Once the girl got frightened listening to the gun shots and trying to comfort her, Daniel told her about a magic cloak, which helps everyone to avoid danger: “You know what impenetrable means? It means nothing can go through it. No bullets, nothing” (“Crash”). The shop owner decides that it is Daniel is guilty in his misfortunes because he failed to fix the door. Blinded by anger and sorrow, he does not listen to any excuses and wants to kill his offender. When the Persian man took the gun and came to the house of innocent Daniel, the little girl, who considered her father as her universe did not hesitate even a minute to sacrifice her life for her father. This pure creature was not concerned about any consequences and reasons; she just knew that she had to save her daddy. Later, the audience learns that the shop owner`s daughter loaded the gun with blanks, but the little child did not know about that; she just wanted to save her father. Undoubtedly, this little girl should serve as a valuable lesson for the audience demonstrating that the true feelings such as love, friendship, duty, etc. have no excuses.
