I am currently in my final year studying a Bachelor of Business majoring in Management and Logistics. I completed my high school education at a well respected school in Brisbane and received good grades, however, I was unsure of what career path I wanted to follow. I was accepted into a Bachelor of Business but deferred University to work as a retail assistant and travel. I decided to change my course of action and applied for a position for a Bachelor of Nursing. I was accepted and completed 1.5 years of the degree. However, as we run a family business, a dealer of new and used commercial trucks and trailers, my father encouraged me to transfer back into a Bachelor of Business to further my education as a business graduate. Once I transferred into the Bachelor of Business program, I commenced work as a Store Person in one of our warehouses. As I furthered my education and sustained unrelated injuries, which prevented me from working in the position, I was transferred into the Parts department to work as a Parts Administration Assistant. I soon moved down the Gold Coast and transferred from Nathan campus to Gold Coast campus to continue my studies. I commenced a new position as Online Store Coordinator and Marketing Assistant at our Yatala branch.

Every individual can communicate that he or she has heard of "Professional Identity" in life. While many individuals can communicate that the term remains familiar, few can descibe what the term means to him or her personally. Going into the teaching profession has been my passion for quite some time now. Although teaching can have many different stereotypes and misconceptions, I still choose to continue towards this career. Every job has it’s own stereotypes and misconceptions. I currently work at a school, which has offered me a lot of on the job training for my future career. My current job has allowed me to see the different stereotypes and misconceptions that come along with the teaching career field. I am fortunate to already be working in my career field so I can prepare for the future stereotypes and misconceptions when I am a teacher of my own classroom.

Mallory Stark discussed the importance of professional image and perceived professional image in the article titled, Creating a Positive Professional Image. In the article it illustrates an interview between Stark and Laura Morgan Roberts. Conversed is the strategic, active approach that is encouraged to adopt in developing ones image they portray. The aptitude to manage, monitor, and evaluate ones professional image is vital to ones career. Furthermore, if you do not build your image others establish their own perceived image of you, thus it is important to guide that perception according to what you aspire for them to see.

When developing Research Question One, the researcher assumed that there would be little correlation between results on the TELL and the SAI surveys indicating that there was not a significant relationship between teacher attitudes toward professional learning experiences based on the professional learning standards and those experiences that were not. Thus, further analysis would follow to determine if teacher opinions of standard-based professional learning were higher than professional learning not based on standards. Instead, results indicated there was a significant correlation between many of the items indicating a weaker difference in attitudes among teachers regarding the two different types of professional learning. However, some of the TELL statements significantly correlated with multiple professional learning standards. For example, the Pearson r indicated that three TELL items (statements F, K and L) correlated significantly with all seven standards and items A, D, and E correlated with six standards. Similar results were produced by the Spearman rs analysis with item K significantly correlating with all seven standards, items D and L with six standards, and item A correlating with five standards.
