Her parents give it to her and she starts to log about her daily life and relationships with her friends and family. But what she doesn 't realize is her diary docs her horrible life that she has in hiding during the holocaust. Don’t you hate it when your family and strangers treat you in a harsh way. Anne Frank was treated harshly by some people in the secret annex people would yell at her call her spoiled lazy and was always telling her what to do. But some people treated her nicely like Peter VanDaan and her dad in a way that made her feel loved by some people around her. Anne was a twelve year old girl when she was forced into hiding because she was a Jew in Nazi territory during WW2. Anne is treated by the people in the annex in many ways and that effects her character in such a way that changes her character.

Anne Frank 's life has impacted the lives of others because, her family background, Anne 's time in hiding, and what she expressed in her diary. Without Anne we would never know what life was like in the holocaust, from a personal standpoint. It came from the pages of a diary belonging to a young Jewish girl, Anne Frank. The Diary of Anne Frank has been read by hundreds of millions of people around the world since the end of World War II.

Mr. and Mrs. van Daan and their son Peter (who is a few years older than Anne) are also in hiding with the Franks. Anne’s adolescence is spent hidden from the outside world. She’s cooped up in tiny rooms, tiptoeing around during the day. After almost 2 years in hiding they are discovered and deported to concentration camps. Anne’s father, Otto Frank, is the only one of the eight people to survive. After her death Anne becomes world famous because of the diary she wrote while in hiding. Miep Gies is a Dutch woman who assists the annex residents with food, clothing, books, and companionship. She cheerfully assists them with the things they need and pitches in to give them holidays. Throughout her time in the “Secret Annexe,” (what she called their hiding space) Anne grew from a hot-headed child into a smart young woman. In the beginning of the book, only 2 months after going into hiding, she writes that feels grateful that her and her family have been spared the fate of some of her friends, however this also makes her feel guilty, because she can’t save those who didn’t get the chance to go into hiding. In her diary, on November 19, 1942, she wrote,“We’re so fortunate here, away from the turmoil. We wouldn’t have to give a moment’s thought to all this suffering if it weren’t for the fact that we’re so worried about those we hold dear, whom we can no longer help. In another book called Night it tells the story of a teen whose name is Elie having to struggle to live in a concentration camp in world war two. Although Elie Wiesel and Anne Frank had different views on the holocaust, both had a strong relationship with their father, and a religion to get them through the holocaust.

In the play version of The Diary of Anne Frank we follow a young teenager named Anne struggling to grow up. As she is growing up the holocaust starts and she is forced to go into hiding for a few years. A similar novella titled Night follows Elie Weisel during his struggle during the Holocaust. This book is straight from Elie many years after the Holocaust, where he writes about all the pain and torture he went through as a teenager in concentration camps. Although Anne Frank and Elie Weisel didn’t go through the same torture and had different focuses, both felt value in their father and strength because of him.

Anne Frank is resilent in many different ways such as being hopeful,strong,and persistant through the tough times of the holocaust. During the holocaust she got a diary from her father Otto Frank for her thirteenth birthday which helped her to keep sane and it also allowed her to express herself in writting and not actions. She wrote how terrible the world was and how jews were forbidden from doing many things and how much pain and suffering the germans were causing towards the jews and non-jews. Thankfully from her recieving the diary we are able to know and learn through her eyes how horrendous this was for her and

The Holocaust, is a dark day and age were million of Jewish people were genocide by the Nazis or forced in a concentration camp. The Holocaust were, recorded on many varieties of texts. There are many stories about the holocaust some are written in fiction and Nonfiction. Fiction and Nonfiction help us honor the Jewish people, that lost their live during the holocaust. They honor them by writing stories about them.

Anne Frank’s diary is one of the most famous examples of how the Jews were treated during Hitler reign of terror and dictatorship. Plus on top of the Germans it did not make anything better with everyone teasing her and being mean and rude to her. The worst part is her mother to her did not even seem like a mother because of how mean she was verbally or in Anne’s mind anyway. It is also weird how she actually got along better with her father. In fact it seemed as if Anne and her mother played favorites. I am making this essay to show how she also had to struggle with her own parents and not only in camp. So with that being said I will show you how her different relationships with her parents improve or decrease while time goes by.
