The Effectiveness Of Online Language Learning

Many popular theories of second language acquisition have been analyzed throughout history. The socialization of L2 learners, their present emotional state that is present at time of acquisition, as well as the comprehensible input and output with the use of scaffolding play a major role in second language acquisition. Let us also not forget the importance of written expression as well as reading comprehension with these L2 learners. Each play a role in language development. However, I believe that in acquiring a language, one must use a variety of techniques that work together to create a balance within the learning environment. Furthermore, all L2 learners learn differently and so a variety of resources will need to be used based on the ability of each student. There are many theories that have been developed by highly qualified experts in the field on linguistics. However, I will address those areas that I agree with as I present my personal theories on second language acquisition.

Education has always been an universal matter of discussion for those who teach and and even for those who learn. This discussion has now become urgent especially since the advent of new technologies and their implications for education. Today there are many studies, ideas and experiences ongoing in education.

Technology and learning are becoming more and more hand in hand as technology gets improved and learning styles are figured out about students. There are a couple of learning theories that teachers need to know to provide students with the best learning situations to make sure that students are learning everything that they need, so they can be ready and successful today and are able to go into the workforce and be a benefit to future employers. This paper we are going to discuss how technology is going to help these student with technology.

Education has evolved by leaps and bounds since the first appearance of the modern pencil in 1795. Today’s classroom’s are utilizing laptops, cellphones, tablets and multiple social media platforms.

Learning any language can always be tricky depending on how you’re taught. Sofia created a video showing that learning a language at a young age is an effective way to become fluent. Sofia started the video by introducing us to her family and expressing to us that she comes from a cultural family who's primary language is Spanish. She also showed us how she and her brothers learned English in various ways that fit each of their needs. As the video came to a close she showed the effectiveness of these specific learning habits they were introduced to, which lead to there fluency in the English language.

The topic I am going to focus on throughout this paper is how education has changed over time. Over the many years of education changing, technology has had a great impact on how we learn and how teachers go about teaching. The three main topics I am going to focus on throughout this paper is how technology has taken over, what new teaching and learning styles we have, and whether or not technology has really helped with education.

One of the best ways to help students learn a second language is to use a variety of settings that promote talk and interaction. These not only help students understand new concepts, but they also help to provide a foundation for learning through reading and writing. Since literacy is part of language, reading and writing develop alongside speaking and listening. Students who spend time talking and listening to each other and working on reading and writing activities are able to develop more proficiency in all language modes.

Rethink my initial written assignment in the first week (see Appendix A), I have a further development of initial reflections that modern teachers should have educational ideas that keep pace with the times. Based on my past learning experience, teachers usually use blackboards and PPTs to teach on the podium. Students take notes on their books and notebooks. However, through studying this Unit, I found that digital technology is becoming increasingly popular and affects all aspects of life. A discussion area was added to moddle this semester, which greatly facilitated discussion between students and teachers. Student and faculty contact is a good way for students to learn more knowledge from each other through using laptop. Students can share their opinion and learning resources on forum, they can also post some questions they did not understand in class, the teacher and some students can give some suggestions or different opinions. In the classroom, the teacher can also use the computer to play teaching videos for us. In the group discussion, we also use laptop.
