Refugees are people who are forced to leave their home due to war, or natural disasters and try to start over by fleeing to a new country.Refugees are going through a lot, fleeing their homes, and having their lives turned inside out. For lots of families who are fleeing their country due to war or a natural disaster, it’s hard for them to adapt to their new lifestyle, learning a new language, new education, and bullies. Fleeing to America gives the refugees a fresh start in life, helps them to start over and more opportunities than they had in the country they fled from. “Children of War” “My graduation is next year, so I have to think about college...America is giving us a better future than we could have in Bosnia”(Brice-26).

If refugee transitions loses funding or goes out of business, refugees will run into many problems. Without these necessary classes refugees may have no way of learning english, which leaves very few ways to make money and find a job. Once someone sets foot on the journey of becoming a refugee, they become vulnerable and dependent with no sense of what the future will bring. Refugees bring the advantages of increasing the country’s population, boosting the country’s economy, and increasing the country’s diversity.

Refugees started because of war and economic problems in their countries that force them out of their homes, and rob their children of having an educated life. Refugees tend to stay in refugee camps, but while staying in camps, they don’t have any job opportunities which makes it extremely hard to care for a family with zero income. In order to leave the camps for jobs, an education, and housing, their relatives have to get them and bring them to their country. All refugees that would like to leave the camp must have a visa.

Refugees are people who crossed borders, fleeing due to problems related to race religion and nationality. While fleeing, refugees unknowingly carry many diseases due to lack of mental help and attention. When coming to a new country, refugees have no self-esteem to get jobs due to the language barrier. Refugees who flee their country and sacrifice everything are confident and strong willed with all the obstacles that come through their journey to start a new life. The long-term effects that a refugee experiences due to forced migration is Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression. Forced migration has a negative mental and physical affect on refugees.

Having fled hundreds or thousands of miles from their homes, depending on nothing but their bodies and wits, they show that they are capable of many jobs within the economy. Refugees are not only a boost to the job force but are also new and eager spenders. According to document 4, as soon as they arrive in a new country the begin to spend money.

Throughout American history, immigrants have been entering the country to avoid political corruption and civil rights violations. The United States have been a safe haven for many. Attempting to ban refugees from entering the country shows how unethical the morals of America has become. America does not have the ethical right to stop the immigration of refugees, however, it is acceptable for Americans to have their reservations as to whether it is safe to accept strangers into their homes.

The refugee crisis is a hotly debated and controversial topic all over the globe relevant to today. The rising number of refugees arriving in the European Union has significantly increased throughout the past few years. The controversy comes from not the refugees themselves, but from where they are emigrating from. Coming from extremely hostile and dangerous countries operated by the Islamic State militants, there is a sense of hysteria from the opposing side saying that there are risks that need to be factored in when accepting such a large amount of people from places where there are high concentrations of terrorism into their home countries. Over 300,000 refugees are waiting at the borders of our country waiting to be accepted into our country. My question is why. Why would our great country want to weaken ourselves by letting illnesses and terrorism into our country, especially when they did not help us in the past? The United States should not accept refugees because of many reasons including terrorism, stealing jobs from U.S citizens and bringing sickness and unknown illnesses into our country. Hundreds and hundreds of terrorist attacks have occurred in our country the only blameable menace are us letting in refugees in. Thousands of refugees are working immediately, and illnesses are spreading to Americans in our country as soon as these refugees enter our country. Knowing all of these issues is it really worth letting them in?
