The book The Other Wes Moore One Name, Two Fates was written by Wes Moore. The novel consists of two boys who had an identical name: Wes Moore. One gets to experience things he never thought of and the other we will be behind bars until death for a robbery. In this novel, it really shows the difference between the two and how they grew up. They grew up at the same time, on the same streets, and with the same name. Their stories came together and one helped the other. It was a large story that consists of young boys in a chaotic part of history and violent time and apparent to succeed and fail in revolutionary ways. His behavior was getting out of control as well. It was like a flip of a switch that set him off. When he was punched in the face by a smaller guy in front of his friends. He ran home and was wiping his lip off from the blood that was there. He was in the kitchen and was looking for a knife as a result of remembering what Tony said “If someone disrespects you, you send a message so fierce that they won’t have the chance to do it again” (Moore 33). Woody knew that Wes took it to heart and was trying to divert his attention. To no avail, he was already outside where the group was hanging out not knowing the cops were there. I Moreover, we shouldn’t become someone who we are not. I believe what drives our judgement is the way people think of others. Today in this world, people are close minded and not open to new ideas. Society’s think that people who grew up from the bad side of town, they will get nowhere in life. We judge people for the way they look, what they wear, where they 're from, where they live, etc. We judge out of our own fears and insecurities. We must treat people the way the want to be treated, not by how you think they should be treated. When we judge someone, do we really know what goes on in their life. Also, still discriminate others to this day, such as, we still judge people based on their race. We have to treat people with equal rights no matter what race or ethnicity they are. We have qualities
