Have you ever stopped at a bar or at a traffic light and overheard a conversation between cyclists and thought to yourself… what on earth are they talking about? Well, I am going to tell you a little bit more by talking about Marianne Vos being a visionary and ethical leader within the women’s peloton. I will talk to you about Marianne being a visionary leader because she uses her cognitive flexibility to change her plans when she needs to as the race goes down. She is also an advancer in women’s cycling because she is one of the driving forces behind a new big race. Personally, I would like to be more cognitive flexible than I am now as I experienced it feeling uncomfortable during an airshow. I would also like to be able to step over boundaries as advancers do. As my mentor did when the new enlisted forces structure for the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) was still in the development stage. Marianne is also an ethical leader because she uses her knowledge on Emergent Leadership Issues, in particular about equal opportunity using at least one of Toner’s Principles. The three O’s apply to her, as she is the biggest champion in women’s cycling. Personally, I can relate to the equal opportunity issue due to the fact of how my father always warned me. And when I was asked for the enlisted forces structure, I immediately thought I owed it to my fellow Airman. So hereafter, I

The Royal Canadian Air Cadets is an example of a community activity that I have actively taken many leadership roles in. Having served the Royal Canadian Air Cadets for more than four years with the 540 Golden Hawks Squadron, I partake in various activities. I have also learned numerous invaluable life and work skills such as teamwork, leadership and confidence, all of which are not spoon-fed to us, but rather acquired from the experiences that I have been through with cadets. We are constantly coached and supervised by Officers who encourage us to lead others. As we age and climb up the ranks, we are encountered with many leadership opportunities that we are strongly encouraged to take.
This paper will briefly analyze the case study— Rebecca S. Halstead: Steadfast Leadership, and examine General Rebecca Halstead 's career history and how through her personal attributes, skills, experiences and challenges she developed into a successful leader and commander in the U.S. Army. Although General Halstead faced a number of challenges during her career, this paper will focus primarily on her leadership style and philosophy specifically with leading teams and dealing with difficult bosses.

On November 10th, 1775, the Continental Congress passed a resolution that stated "two Battalions of Marines be raised", which established the Continental Marines, and is now considered the birth date of the Marines. The newly formed Continental Marines served on both land and sea, and took part in many major engagements, which helped establish them as an important branch of the Armed Forces. The first Commandant of the Continental Marines was Captain Samuel Nicholas, who was born in Philadelphia in 1744. He was commissioned to be a “Captain of Marines” by the 2nd Continental Congress on November 5th 1775. Nicholas soon established Tun Tavern as the recruiting headquarters. Many people are concerned about the U.S. military because of how many risks come with joining it. However, the U.S. military also explains the benefits that one could receive. Joining the military is a decision that should not be taken lightly. One must understand all aspects of the military. In order for a voter to be fully informed about joining the US military, one must consider both the risks, like mental illnesses and commitment and benefits, like education, and experience.
Women have been sexually harassed and assaulted in the work force for years, and for many years, the US Army has been dealing with this enormous and overwhelming issue, through the help of their agency known as the Equal Opportunity Program (EOP). In the US Army regulation 600-20, Army Chief of Staff, General Raymond T Odierno, States the purpose, “This regulation prescribes the policies and responsibilities of command, which include the Well-being of the force, military discipline, and conduct, the Army Equal Opportunity (EO) Program, and the Army Sexual Assault Victim Program.“ For a long time, the Army’s EOP Equal Opportunity
Royal Canadian Air Cadets was first established in 1938. It started during the beginning of World War 2. It was established to train young men for duties during the war. Prior to 1940 official Air Cadet Squadrons did not exist. One corps was opened up under the Royal Canadian Army Cadets in 1939 under the corps designation of 1601 AIR FORCE CADET WING. With the formation of the Royal Canadian Air Cadet movement, the corps transferred over and was given the designation 111 VANCOUVER.
It is necessary for military professionals to take the time to study military history, for it aids in not only their personal success but also in the success of the mission at hand. When one understands past failures and the causes, they are able to better wage what necessary actions must be taken to achieve success. Also knowledge is power. The more information a NCO has, the greater ability he has to make decisions which will allow him and his team to operate in a more safe and effective manner. By combining past success and failures with personal experiences, a NCO is better equipped for quick and effective decision making.
The first military establishment was formed before the United States was officially declared a country for the purpose of meeting the needs of the colonists during the American Revolution. The Army’s mission is to fight and win the Nation’s wars by providing prompt, sustained land dominance across a full range of military operations. Although the history of the United States Army is deeply rooted in the country’s history, the implementation of the United States Special Forces Operations Unit is fairly young having been established in May 1952 yet unannounced to the public until 1954. NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) is always prepared to intercept hijacked airplanes with fighter jets, and are able to debilitate them or shoot them down—Fact or fiction? This is a fact; however, on the day of September 11, 2001, four commercial airplanes were hijacked with the intent to crash into the world trade center, the pentagon, and possibly the white house. Three of these planes were successful on this mission and there is substantial evidence that NORAD knew about these hijackings, at least after the first one hit the World Trade Center. “NORAD generals said they learned of the hijackings in time to scramble fighter jets.” (NewsOne) Why did they instead choose to stand down? Obviously, NORAD was commanded by a higher authority to abstain from thwarting these men’s attempts. This must be because the corrupt government of the United States either knew these attacks were going to take place, or they allowed them to happen to benefit from the after effects. The government may not have been completely behind the 9/11 attacks, but they most certainly had some part in it and had the capability to prevent them; therefore, we must consider the theories we could possibly believe, and those that we dismiss outright through analysis and contemplative thought.

There are many job oppurtunitiesin the army. Anyone one can join and be anything he wants. In the army everyone has the chance to travel the world. The army has certain benefits and requirements. All of them will be explained.
The Army and the Air Force have many similarities and differences, some of the similarities are the troop’s dedication, diversity, and patriotism, and some of the differences are the way each branch trains, their respective customs, and quality life.
