Romeo and Juliet are set in Verona, Italy, where there is an ongoing feud between the Montague and Capulet families. The citizens of Verona is outraged because the violence between the two families. The feud has gotten so serious that prince Escalus has declared that anyone who tries to mess with the peace and make a new conflict between the families, will be sentence to death.
Romeo is the son of Montague and is currently dating a woman named, Rosaline. He insists that he is in love with her; the only problem is that she doesn’t return his affections. His cousin Benvolio says to Romeo that he thinks he should find an other girl, but Romeo refuses. Meanwhile, Juliet has been asked to marry a prince. Her father, Capulet asks them to wait two ears since Juliet only is 14 years old.

At the party Romeo sees a beautiful girl across the room, and instantly falls in love. The girl he sees is Juliet, and she feels the same way. Unfortunately for them both Romeos identity is discovered and he is forced to leave the party just after they have introduced themselves and exchanged a kiss.

Romeo and his friend Benvolio happen to stumble across a Capulet worker named Peter, who is trying to read a list of invitations to a masked party at the Capulet house.
