However, Juliet does not want to marry Paris. She would do anything to not marry Paris. Lady Capulet wanted Romeo to be killed instead of being banished for killing Tybalt. The Capulets had a big feud with the Montagues, Romeo's parents. Friar Laurence has been helping Romeo a lot during the story, however he could have got in trouble and be punished for bringing Romeo and Juliet together.

While it might seem that everybody is at fault for the death of Romeo and Juliet, I believe that Lord Capulet played a big part in this. Some people think that Paris should be blamed, for loving Juliet and wanting to marry her, but, you can’t control love and nobody should be blamed for loving someone. He likes a girl, so of course he will try to be with her. On the other hand, it was Lord Capulet who agreed to this marriage and forced his young daughter to marry Paris. “How, how, how, how? As a freshman at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, I took the writing class WTNG 102 Section 31, taught by Professor Ramey. All undergraduate students must receive at least a 70 as a final grade in the class prior to being enrolled in Critical Writing, WTNG 200 or 220. Entering college, I was most worried about taking Expository Writing because writing has never been one of my strengths. I have always struggled with writing transitions, and have made endless grammatical mistakes, including comma splices and tense changes. I hoped that Expository Writing would help me with these writing mistakes. Another thing that I hoped that WTNG 102 would do for my writing is that it would… Over the semester, I wrote a total of four papers with three different learning objectives and specific understandings. The first paper, “The Real Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” shows my understanding of rhetorical knowledge. The second paper, “What is a Discourse Community?” shows my understanding of discourse community knowledge. The third paper, “Genre Analysis” shows my understanding of genre knowledge. Through these three papers, I have achieved the learning outcomes in rhetorical knowledge, discourse community knowledge, and genre knowledge.

Romeo and Juliet is a story about Romeo, who in grief of his last love, falls in love with the beautiful Juliet from the house of his family’s enemy. Romeo and Juliet have to stay strong to keep their love from causing chaos in the city of Verona. At the end of the story many people have died including Romeo and Juliet. But with a little bit of imagination the story could end in a whole different mood. In a different reality, Romeo and Juliet can have a somewhat happy ending.

The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet tells the tale of two star crossed lovers who become caught up in the problems of their feuding families, the Montagues and the Capulets. Romeo is a Montague and Juliet a Capulet, and the pair have a forbidden love. The events in this play ultimately result in the untimely demise of the star crossed lovers. There are multiple people whose actions lead to their deaths. Romeo and Juliet “is not simply a tragedy of two individuals, but the tragedy of a city. Everybody in the city is in one way or another involved in and responsible for what happens.” This quote written by W.H. Auden accurately describes the cause of the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Each character’s actions lead to another character’s actions, which eventually lead to the demise of Romeo and Juliet. The Capulet’s servant, Tybalt, the Capulet’s, and Friar John are the characters whose actions had the greatest consequences resulting in the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
