The United Nations is an organization established 24 October 1945. It was a replacement for the League of Nations. The UN was created following the Second World War to prevent another such conflict. The organization is financed by giving its member states a substantial fee. Its objectives include maintaining international peace and security, promoting human rights, fostering social and economic development, protecting the environment, and providing humanitarian aid in cases of famine, natural disaster, and armed conflict.

The UN was form after World War II ended. The organization was represented by the number of twenty six nation countries to fight the Axis Power. The UN and its system consisted of six main basic organs that operate the system and other subsidiary agencies. The GA, the Secretariat, the International Council and Justice, the EOCSOC, the Security Council and the Trusteeship are the main basic organs that operate the system. The UN also consist a document of constitution, which is called Charter. This document constitution held the responsible of each of the body organ that are operating within the organization. In this paper, I will talk about the structure of the UN, the system power, and the pathology of the system. With the amount of mini-UN throughout the regional, people often confuse this subsidiary agency with the major organization.

Therefore, since the formation of the UN, it has worked in a variety of ways to achieve those to aspects. Some of the projects and methods the United Nations has taken on in order to achieve these goals have definitely been more or less successful than others. On top of that, The situations over time that the United Nations has worked in have also lead to the organization being more or less successful, especially when looking at the situations of the cold war and post-cold war. Overall, as the united nations and the situations facing it evolved and changed, The United Nations became more successful after the cold war than it was during the cold war.

And fourth, “to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom.” The UN is a controversial topic that many people have different opinions about. In this paper it will discuss the history to how the United Nations came about, the structure of it, what it has done and is doing towards helping people and keeping peace. And overall show the efforts toward their Charter and what can be done about the future for the United Nations.

The United Nations, as the world’s largest intergovernmental organization enables the cooperation of member states on a wide variety of issues. This makes it a major player in the economic, political and security status of the world. Its presence in an Encyclopedia is thus indisputable. If I wrote an article on the United Nations, I would break it down to its membership, structure, role, funding, history, challenges and achievements. I would place photographs of leaders of member states in meetings, its headquarters and pictures of projects being undertaken by the body. Potentially controversial parts may be those dealing with membership, voting and funding. Membership would stir controversy since some areas that claim autonomy like Taiwan and Palestine face opposition from China and Israel respectively. Voting may be controversial because the Security Council appears to hold sway even on matters that are within the jurisdiction of the General Assembly. Funding may stir controversy since the UN would appear as held under the whims of its huge funders. I would visit the UN website plus read through media articles relating to the UN. I would also check their books of account to verify their funding.

The United Nations is an organization that was officially founded in 1945 right after World War 2 and is located in New York City, New York in the United States of America on neutral territory, meaning that it is technically a safe zone for all countries who enter (Gemun). It is dedicated to solving world wide issues such as peace and security, human rights, food production, climate change and many more (UN). It is currently made up of 193 Member States, which has been quadrupled since the start of the organization. These members meet up and work together to solve issues that may or already have erupt in their country as well as other countries. It has shown great success as of right now and has avoided another world war issue.

Following the war, the world powers had decided that they needed a better way to maintain peace and solve international conflicts, thus leading to the creation of the UN. Ever since then, the new international organization has been a critical part in keeping world peace and has become a way for countries to be able to negotiate together on even ground. The event of World War II is credited as the main reason for how the United Nations came to be. We can look back at our past and learn from our mistakes to create a better future. Out of the bloodshed of war, we must to seek out the lesson. Not only did the war give the war an invaluable lesson, but it also improved the lives of the people of a certain
