I know that I will be able show others that I am worth it by proving them that I can be able to do the impossible, even when it starts to become callous, I am willing to work my way back up by any means necessary for my success in graduating and being a good student. I also would like to join the Marine Corps JROTC is so I can be able to develop the leadership qualities to enable me to assume progressively greater responsibilities to the Marine Corps JROTC and society. It will also help me build a feeling of confidence which will ensure the free approach for advice and help at home and school, not only in military matters but for personal problems. With these newly acquired skills of organization, self-discipline and responsibility that they will be quickly prominent in my high school classes, extracurricular activities, jobs and at the house. These are the reasons why I would like to join and be a part of the Marine Corps JROTC program and family as it will help me tons and will make my life not as stressful. Throughout History The Marine Corps has had a very long and distinguished history of their remarkable service to the world. Marines have been known to uphold the highest moral character with or without having their uniforms on. From that, their foundation of Honor, Courage and Commitment becomes indisputable and very evident in every single Marine.The three Corps Values: honor, courage, commitment make up the bedrock of the character of each individual Marine. Being able to get more men together to form more regiments was a tough challenge. Though there were a lot of men wanting to enlist in the Marines, it was finding officers that would lead them that seemed to be the problem. To find more officers they would go and scout universities, colleges, and military schools and try to find men that would volunteer for enlistment as an officer candidate. Soon the 6th Marine Regiment and the 6th Machine Gun Battalion would be formed. At a point in time almost sixty percent of the 6th Marine Regiment consisted of college boys. Then the 5th and 6th Marine Regiments and the 6th Machine Gun Battalion would combine together and form the 4th Marine Brigade.
