The Joint Commission is continuously updating policies on sentinel events in all facilities. The guidelines are an overall policy for all organizations to follow. The sentinel event policy does recognize each individual entity but follows the same outline for these events that occasionally take place.

The organization known as NMSJ is hosting an event in an attempt to break the world record for most field goals kicked in under 5 hours. Our goal as an organization is to bring families together throughout Connecticut. With special guest Tom Brady from the New England Patriots football in attendance, we hope to reach a target market including football fans and families all throughout New England. Currently there is no direct competition. The last time this record was broken was in 2011 and there are no other current groups trying to break it. Taking a look into events throughout Connecticut at the same time there is nothing more than some local fairs which brings no threat to an event focused on football and its fans.
