Humanity: What is human nature? What is human purpose? What is the root cause of human problems?
Man was created in the image of God, but given free thought. With free thought came the thoughts and ability to sin. It does not matter what religious back ground that you come from or even if you are religious at all, it is easy to see that the world view characterization of human nature is accurate. When looking at resources or evidence that human nature has a tendency to sin all you have to do is turn on the television. The images and stories that we see on the news and through social media are not some recent events. We have been sinning since the creation of mankind, and with the world social unrest and current event mankind dies not look like they are going to stop.
Jesus: What is Jesus' true identity? What did Jesus do? Why is Jesus' identity and work significant for the Christian worldview?
When looking at the divinity of Jesus Christ with a Christian worldview, we have to understand why God would allow a person to be divine. After Genesis God should be jaded and unforgiving towards people. The birth of Jesus represents the rebirth of our faith and the faith of God in us. It proves that God is a forgiving being that will always Love. The birth of Jesus gives the Christians their worldview and religious view. The ability to forgive, love, and to be good to all of man is what the divinity of Jesus
Jesus Christ, the figure who changed history more than any other, did many miracles to show others that he was God's son. God gave Jesus power over nature, power over disease, and even power over death. As a young Christian, my knowledge was a little understudied, to say the least. Now, as this module comes to a close, I realize that I have learned so much! While writing this summary paper, I intend to discuss my understanding of the historical Jesus, Jesus as the Messiah, and Jesus as the Personal Savior.

Christ, being a Jew, is refocused as a teacher and Rabbi of pure truth and an example of pure living. As the lessons of Jesus and His acts of incredible healing progressed through His ministry and time on earth, how is He to be defined between the two posts of humanity and that of divinity? What of His human suffering and ultimate human death on the Cross? As such, Death on the Cross is the crucial miracle in the credibility of His divine incarnation. “The resurrection of that existence is the most decisive thing, the sole miracle, which makes all other [miracles]
Jesus was the focus of unity for Christians and would often be referred to as “son of man” or “son of God”. Jesus was born to the Virgin Mary, and what many Christians believe was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Well they is not any written works by Jesus, biblical accounts of Jesus contribute him as a teacher, he would teach that God’s reign is imminent and it is necessary to watch for the signs and to be prepared the new Godly society that a waits. Those follow Jesus can do this by observing the spirit verses the letter of Jewish Law. Throughout his teaching Jesus was considered a miracle worker, in some of his miracles Jesus healed those who were sick, stop storms, walk on water, and feeding those who did not have food. At this particular time in history many believed that God control all things that happen in the world, and since Jesus could as well control these things it was believed that God was at work in Jesus. At Jesus death, Christians believe that he fulfilled the prophecy and assented to heaven. Now a day’s Christian hold celebrates like Christmas, Good Friday, and Easter that remember the birth and death of
In the Church, us as Christians believe that Jesus was sent by God the father, born of the virgin Mary, and suffered on the cross for our sins so that we can remain pure in him. We also believe that through his example, we will be opened up into the kingdom of Heaven. Through the gospels we can learn more about Jesus’ kindness, generosity, and
Jesus Christ is the son of God and our lord and savior, birthed by the Virgin Mary, and armed with the word and will of God, He sought to heal mankind of its hedonist ways. Jesus Chris is also the only one to walk among us without sin. In order to heal us of our immoral and sinful behavior, he traveled the lands with his disciples, spreading the word of God, and performing miracles in his name along the way. The journey of Jesus Christ was paved with great difficulty, as he encountered violent mobs and non-believers. Those that refused to change their selfish and malevolent ways, would be left to be judged by God. Through the strength of God, he was able to endure, spreading the messages we still strive to follow today. The teachings of the
In between 4-1 BC a baby called Jesus was born who grow up to be a revolutionary man. He was the one being with the most influence on earth since, he inspired a new religion and a new lifestyle in which even now a day many laws are based on. He was not just a human he was also the saviour the one he claimed to be son of God, the anointed one, the one who gives life, and many other blessings. All through the bible the humanity, claims he said of who he was are mentioned and his purpose revealed those his claims.
The doctrine of Christology has been an issue for the church since we have received the blessings of Christ and his atoning work of the cross. The issue of Jesus and his identity was one that Jesus dealt with in his own ministry. It must not be surprising to us that there are still questions in understanding the identity and reality of Jesus in his humanity and his simultaneous divinity. In the early church, the attempt to explain this dichotomy or duality was often diluted by human attempts to speak logically on the matter. Human logic will not be able to understand the mysteries of God (Isaiah 55:11). However, we are none the less left with the matter of identifying and defending who Jesus is before the world. Many false doctrines have been conceived which attempt to explain this truth but fall far short of revealing what
Jesus was born of a virgin. God demonstrated His sovereignty over all, as a gift of grace, in Jesus’ supernatural birth. Jesus was fully human. The Word of God became flesh. His humanity made Him one of us, the only way in which He could redeem us. He came to us and lived amongst us, therefore He knows our pain. Through His sinless human existence, Jesus could fully atone for the sins of all mankind. Jesus is also fully God. In seeing Jesus, we see the Father. Jesus died and rose from the grave, demonstrating His power over death, and His right standing as the Son of God. He is the giver and sustainer of life. Jesus made the way for redemption to occur. He is worthy to be praised.
The Gospels paint a beautiful picture of the life and story of Jesus. Galations gives a brief recap of God’s purpose in Christ: “But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons” (Gal 4:4-5). This is the job description of Jesus, who came to fulfill what was said in the Old Testament, and redeem mankind. Let us now look at the different titles and distinctions for Jesus.
Jesus Christ was a preacher and religious leader who became the central figure of christianity. Christians believe him to be the son of God and the awaited messiah prophesied in the old testament. But there is so much more Jesus than that. Where he came from, what he did on earth, what he do for us now is all revealed in the Bible. This book contains the only record of Jesus and was written by the generation of people who heard him teach and saw his deeds. He was a saviour that would have victory over enemies and eventually bring a blessing to all nations on earth. This was the purpose that God had from the very beginning which became reality when Jesus was born. That great work of God who through Jesus Christ would seek to reconcile
Jesus is a highly significant figure for Christianity as he proclaims the core ethical teachings that provide guidance for christian adherents. He instigated ritual practices for worship and lived a life of service for others - the goal of every Christian through the major events of his life, Jesus reveals the message and power of God. Thus the perfect model for Christian life.
Jesus of Nazareth, also known, as Jesus Christ is believed to be the Son of God and the basis of the Christian religion. The title Christ means the Anointed One in the Greek. The birth, death, life, and resurrection of Jesus was foretold throughout the Old Testament Scriptures. “The Jesus of Christianity is a miracle, a prophet, a teacher, and the savior of souls” (Emmons 1). All this points to the many areas that Jesus had an impact on within the Christian religion. In fact Emmons portrays this way, “For some, he emerges as a revolutionary, to others a profound religious teacher, but whatever their stance, no scholar denies the incredible impact the life and work of Jesus has had on subsequent history” (1).
Jesus came as the Savior to Israel and the world, the supreme leader of Heaven. In the three and a half years He ministered, He performed and accomplished astonishing feats. He preached life changing sermons, and taught captivating parables that remain to test today’s most educated scholars. He healed hundreds of incurable diseases, provided food for thousands extraordinarily, calmed storms suddenly, walked on water confidently, brought people back to life, and selected just a dozen men, eleven of whom would go on to spend the rest of their lives fulfilling His mission. He selected hard working people such as fishermen to be His apprentices, and helped and ate with regular people. He challenged and condemned religious leaders, who resented and despised Him. He taught in Jerusalem, the cities of Judea, out in the rural areas, in meadows, on mounds, and from boats in the water while multitudes attended attentively from the shore. Jesus taught about a place, but not a place of this world. He never had a family, owned a home, held an office, or even wrote a book. Though some would debate as Christians we are children of God, He is seated at the gates of our eternal home in Heaven, sits at the right hand of God, and played a major role and character in the bestselling book and greatest story ever told. Many centuries have gone by and He still remains the focus and shining light for most of the world. Jesus became and is the highest foundation of direction and motivation from one
Jesus’ arrival embodies what Christians refer to when talking of forgiveness, salvation, and having everlasting life. He came to earth born of a virgin mother and born 100% human. That it was an immaculate birth helps to clarify that not only was He 100% human, but also 100% divine. This sets
