Website performance
This report is created for Net-connect Network Solutions (NCNS). Within this report I will be talking about web architecture:
Internet service providers
Web hosting services
Domain structure
Domain name registrars
The World Wide Web.
I will also be talking about web components:
Mail
Proxy servers
Routers
Browsers
I will be explaining client side settings such as graphics settings, browser choice bandwidth/connection speed and cache, server side issues such as connection speed, bandwidth allowances as well as the web space provided all impact on web performance. I will also be commenting on security and how data is protected.

Internet service providers
Internet service providers are mainly big businesses such as sky, virgin and BT which are known for their internet services. These are all companies that provide a service for a large area for opening, consuming or contributing for and on the internet. These service providers are here to provide many organised forms like commercial, zero profit, privately owned parts of the service meaning they own part of the company allowing them to have their own part of the service and finally commercial. Most of the services provided by the internet service providers are commercial meaning more business for them and the providers e.g. The post office they spend money on pages giving their service providers money for the websites and monthly for such websites along with the money paid monthly
ISP which is short for internet service provider is basically term which is used to define a company that provides a range of internet services including personal and business access to the Internet. The service provider will always give you a modem a username and password unique to you and you are usually charged for this monthly. There are many internet services provides and Examples of these providers include BT, virginmedia, sky ect.
An internet service provider is important as they supply the company or person with access to the internet. The internet service provider will normally charge for this service to connect to the internet. The most common ways to connect with an ISP is through a dial up connection or broadband. Within the past few years however broadband has become more popular making the dial up connection less popular. I have noticed the reasons behind this myself as the internet connection within my house has gotten faster since I switched to broadband.
Internet service providers – a service provider (SP) is a company that provides organisations, education, communications, storage, processing, and many other
$100 million web-enablement initiatives have been executed by Cisco in early 1990s. Cisco strategy was to use all standard equipment, tools, and smart group of people to apply the web-enablement. Most of the interactions were network-based and begin at home page of cisco which allowed the employees to communicate with customers, partners, and suppliers more efficiently and effectively. Applications of intranet and internet were created as a part of these initiatives. Most efficient applications will be illustrated in the following lines.
1. Is your source reliable? Explain why or why not. (Please use the website evaluator tool to help you).
This paper is a written evaluation of three websites that were designed to reach a specific target audience. All three sites' reach their target audience, however they accomplish this in a slightly different way. During this paper, we will discuss the strength and weaknesses of each site, the design criteria used to evaluate them, and how to improve some of the weaknesses associated with each site.
The standard by which all activities are measured is stated with the excellent quality of service as well as the highest customer satisfaction. Service can be measured by the speed to which customer issues are addressed as well as how fast the hosting services are. Customer satisfaction can be measured through online forms where customer feedback as well as service ratings can be submitted. It’s our goal to provide a platform which can deliver our customer’s web sites to the user’s browser in less than two seconds.
Microsoft’s internet information services (IIS) is one such solution. This webs server is designed to run on Windows server platforms. Consequently, it integrates well with Microsoft’s online applications. It features an intuitive graphical user interface that simplifies its installation and use. However, the costs of installing new versions of this web server are high. In addition, its restriction to the Microsoft server OS platform inhibits system flexibility. An alternative to IIS is the Apache web server. This is an open sourced application that can be implemented on a wide variety of operating system platforms. Apache’s integration of a pearl and PHP engine facilitates easy integration with the application programming interface (Gunther, 2006). In addition, this web server is available for free. This makes it a cost effective alternative. Further, Apache’s event-driven architecture enables it to perform ideally even under heavy loads. However, Apache usage involves a relatively strenuous learning curve. The software’s complexity may present an obstacle to its use by new users. Another web server that can be adopted for use in this project is Nginx. This server is easy to use as well as stable. It is also based on an event driven architecture. This architecture makes it an efficient user of system resources even under heavy loads (Tanenbaum, 2001). Nginx’s ease of installation, configuration, and use make it a viable alternative for adoption in
In this evaluation, there are two informational sites and one business site evaluated. In order of their overall ranking from high to low: Anderson County Sheriff Department (http://tnacso.net) is an Informational site, KetoDiet (https://ketodietapp.com) is a Business/Marketing website and Tom Klindt’s home page (http://www.toddklindt.com) is an informational website. The content for each site was evaluated for authority, accuracy, objectivity, currency and coverage. While the criteria varied somewhat between the different types, all received top scores for accuracy.
The goal of this innovation is to create a more inclusive and accessible access to web-based functions. The plan is to provide internal workers and external customers stress-free access to web-based functions whether, they be work related function or easing access to provider and service products.
The internet is part of everyday life for most people. It connects people to information that can be accessed from the web any time, any day of the week. To connect to the internet, an individual needs a thing called a web browser, or browser for short (Beal). A browser is defined as “a software application used to locate, retrieve, and display content on the World Wide Web, including web pages, images, video, and other files” (Beal). There are many different types of browsers that are used to connect to the internet, but in this paper only four browsers will be talked about. These four browsers are some of the well-known browsers which include: Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. In this research paper, these browsers will be compared to each other, comparing some of their benefits and disadvantages.
New technological developments are revitalizing the software industry. The most recent and significant development includes a new set of web-friendly applications that, as of yet, has no official name. These web services can be assembled from standardized building blocks, meaning that any number of applications may be assembled in a variety of ways. Because of this, companies are able to develop enterprise applications to run on a wide range of software and hardware infrastructures and cater to the specific demands of their respective market segments. The companies that will maintain market share in the
An Internet Service Provider (ISP) is the industry term for the company that is able to provide you with access to the Internet, typically from a computer. If you hear someone talking about the Internet and they mention their "provider," they're usually talking about their ISP.
The company proposed a new way to distribute content over the Internet. The reason why this technology is invented is a real problem related to the Internet. The main problem is that existing routing systems on the Internet are not able to serve new needs of consumers. Consumers moved to more sophisticated multi-media applications and routing system became overloaded. It resulted with delays in the system and slowness of the web in peak periods.
