The attack mark the entrance of the United States into the WWII on to Allied side, and Japan in the side of Germany and Italy. The use of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki is justified in that the war would have dragged on longer killing more civilians and military lives, and to showcase the strength of the United States in order to prevent future attacks.
