Marketing is all about creating a really solid decision, which will lead to more money. In this paper I will give some history of my organization, and explain how each element of marketing affects the organization. In addition I will cover the industry in which the organization resides in.
History
The YWCA has been around for decades, and will be around for decades more. The YWCA stands for Young Women Christian Association. The organization is huge across the world. The first one that ever was created in Michigan was right here in Kalamazoo, by a lovely lady named Ida Stearns. Over the years, the organization has helped so many women and their children that need anything from

For example, the YWCA needs more participants in their new finance class helping those young women with their money. The strategy was to produce flyers and team up with local churches and radio stations to promote the new finance class. The tactic was to offer free dinner to all that came. That would a prime example of what not to do, only because free food means more money or donations and who knows what food allergies that people have. If I was the one who was responsible to come up with a tactic it would have been just refreshments served because it is cheaper and less time consuming. One instructor I know just touched base on working smarter not harder.
Industry
YWCA would be in the non-profit industry, which is growing every day. The industry of non-profit is growing and becoming more competitive. We all know that non-profit, means what is says no profit to the company or organization, however, did you know that most people who own a non-profit organization makes more money than you think. This is because they use surplus revenue to attain its objectives instead of them distributing them as income or dividends. The members of the board get paid, and for the most part they have really old people or really young people who volunteer their services for free. So at the end of the day that makes the real money non-profit or profitable organization, I guess that all depends on the product or service and the marketing
In summary, marketing is very important for a business to achieve success. Many businesses have a difficult time in this area. With the stiff competition, businesses struggle to stand out among others. Other companies resort in unethical and unfair schemes just to win the competition. But eventually find themselves in great loss and failure. As businesses all over the world enter into a gigantic marketplace, every business owner is faced with convoluted market competition. Nevertheless, any entrepreneur can be different and become successful in this matter. In every product sold and in every service provided, patience and hard work should take precedence to ensure quality. Products and services should be marketed honestly, planning should not be done with evil
The YMCA-YWCA lifeguard group is a sub culture. This smaller culture stems from the large society of lifeguards across Canada. The YMCA-YWCA is made up of 21 highly trained lifeguards. The goals and regulations of these group are very similar. The main difference of these groups are within the regulations. Each province in Canada has different protocols in their first aid sector and training techniques.
A quick review of WWP’s financial statements and Form 990 will show an organization that prides itself on professionalism and accuracy. Furthermore, looking at the organizations website offers more of the same attention to detail and transparency. This is a very good thing and earned high ratings from watchdog groups such as Charity Navigator. However, depending on where you search to gain information and how you factor assets and expenses will result in various answers. For example, WWP reports on their organizational website that 75 percent of
The charity was founded by a group of Quakers, social activists and oxford academics. The first overseas Oxfam was found in Canada in 1963. I chose Oxfam because I have an interest in the company and I think its one of
Non-profit organizations have been in existence in the United States since the 1950’s but grew and expand in the public sector in the 1970’s. Prior to nonprofits there were charitable and philanthropic organizations and associations going as far back as the 1800’s. These organizations were instrumental in addressing social ills and that of the poor and destitute. For example, many organization that reached out to families in need and orphans are still in existence today under the auspices as a nonprofit legal entity.
they do compete with each other. The non-profit manager must acquire resources and decide how the organization is to be financed. The competition among non-profit organizations still need to be in concern as some non-profit organizations can overlooked their competition.
Marketing doesn’t just focus on the number of ads you can display or having the best commercial ad during the Super Bowl. However, it’s how you capture and retain old and new customers. After capturing and retaining customers, someone has to be the master mind behind the numbers. Marketing has many different layers such as marketing objectives, strategies, brand positioning, and messaging and public relations activities. All companies understand the need for marketing but most haven’t invested the time and money to build a Marketing department that is stable enough to handle the changes of technology, the raise of social
Marketing as it is in business can fail or succeed depending on very many factors that are always in play. Over the years, failure or success is always as a result of the strategies a business employs to carry out his/her activities in marketing (Czinkotta et al, 2007).
Non profits are able to enjoy the benefits of alliances with commercial businesses or other NGO’s because a portion of the purchase price charged by a commercial business is donated to charity.
Immediate, efficient and powerful marketing is a key to the success of our company. No matter how good our product is – nobody will buy it if nobody knows it. Correct analysis of the market is essential for successful targeting of potential customers.
The term Marketing refers to the actions taken by a company or a business to research the market, advertise, promote and sell their products and services. Marketing has many components and is a huge revenue builder to companies than what was traditionally thought. Marketing, arguably, can be considered one of the most important aspect of business. A company risks a product if it lacks marketing skills and is unable to market the product to the consumers in the desired approach. Marketing has been the focus of all leading companies to such heights that it is not just done to sell the product anymore,

| Identify the macro and micro environmental factor influences of the selected organization marketing activities and decision making
Marketing can be seen everywhere, directly or indirectly. Both consumers and organisations end up being influenced by the factors of marketing. This can be from the cloths we wear to high end cars or electronic gadgets. In order to understand the role of marketing in the development and launch of our product “RAINBOW” (a mood band that changes its colour according to our mood and connects us with social media sites such as Facebook, twitter, etc. on the go depending on our feelings and also it helps to enhance our moods or feeling whenever we are low or depressed), we first need to know the perfect meaning of marketing. Good marketing is a result of careful strategic planning, vision or forecasting of market conditions and timely executions of the planned strategic moves. In simple words it is placing the product at the right place on right time with the right price. Marketing basically deals with identifying and satisfying human needs and wants. Marketing can be defined as “marketing is an organisational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefits the organisation and its stake holders.” Kotler and Keller(2012).
