The Tang and Song dynasties in China existed between 618 to 1279 CE. Throughout this period, there were many developments in art, poetry, and technology. China was highly influential all around the world. It became known as the Golden Age of China. With advances in technology and ideas that could improve the everyday life, a unified government, and a strong economic system, the Tang and Song dynasties became the Golden Age of China.

Qin Shi Huang was born in 259 BC and eventually ascended to the throne of the kingdom of Qin at the age of 21 creating a war and declaring himself China’s first emperor (Source 1). Although he did bring unification to China, Qin Shi Huang was a forbidding and brutal dictator who abused his power and dishonoured his people and country. This assignment will clearly highlight the negative aspects of Qin Shi Huang, including: the banning of Confucius, how he enforced of unnecessarily strict laws and how his arrogance and ignorance eventually took over.

For the Qin dynasty, I would rate it a two out of five because Shi Huangdi took control of the unified China, started the great wall of China, and developed legalism which is ruling by force. This dynasty lasted for only 15 years and is the shorted lived rule in all the four dynasties.

Within the years of 221-206 BCE, the Qin Dynasty rose as a superpower. During this time period, the Warring States Era, Chinese civilization was impacted tremendously in almost every aspect. These hallmarks in history vary from the spreading of Legalism to the birth of the Great Wall of China. Through these countless contributions, the Qin Dynasty was able to revolutionize the Chinese civilization in such a short period of time.

Qin Shi Huang Di has been making an effort to unite China under his power and legalist ways. The First Emperor should not be supported in his attempts to unite China. Not only is he responsible for the deaths of thousands of people, he also has dangerous legalist ways and spends his time focused on unimportant issues.

I. In the Classical period, China’s early empire was created on behalf of developed agricultural systems, better control over the country, and fending off invasions from the north. The rise and fall of the Zhou, Han and Qin dynasty has provided the foundation for the growing country of China. These dynasties has contributed agressively to China’s accomplishments. Such as, the Great Wall of China during the Qin Dynasty, expansion of Chinese Territory during many of the dynasties, and overcoming the invasions from the Nomads from the north, the huns.

The relationship between China and Britain during the Qing dynasty centered around trade had often be violent. China traded with many foreign countries which often caused problems when such countries intruded on the agreements of trade. One such country was Britain during those times. The Opium wars were a result of the illegal exporting of opium between Britain and China. The imperial government of China often responded to encroachments of the trading agreements of opium by attempting to create bans. China also responded by the emperor writing to King George III. These are a few aspects of the trading that occurred between China and Britain throughout the Qing dynasty.

All throughout the world, populous cities such as New York City and Shanghai, inhabit crowded streets that are overflowing with people; these multifarious cities are examples of sites of encounters. In the middle ages, a valid example is the city Quanzhou, China. Quanzhou, being a site of encounter enjoyed a plentiful of trade, though they were forced to issue more laws and protection to ensure safety within. Trading with foreign countries created cultural diffusion within this city along with a diverse society. By being a site of encouter, the city of Quanzhou’s political and cultural worlds were the most impacted.

According to Source B, the attacks had been slowly brewing for years. It started when Japan invaded Manchuria in 1931, in northern China. (source B) As the Japanese aggression increased, its relations with the US deteriorated. Japan had a need for the establishment of heavy and light industries (in occupied Manchuria). (source B) She was lacking in natural resources itself, the search for alternative supplies underpinned foreign and military policy throughout the decade and led to the attack on the Pearl Harbour and the Pacific War. Military success and inherent sense of racial superiority led Japan to believe that it deserved to dominate Asian politics.

My journey starts long ago in of Egypt around 100 B.C.E. I’m a very skilled Iron worker. Actually one of the best among the people. I’ve decide that I would takes my skills to the China and being among the people of the Qui dynasty. It wasn’t easy journey it toke nines year for me to reach china. When I get there it’s a totally new world. It’s cooler, moist and felled with lust forest. The animals, trees and even the people look totally different. As I walk along on a stone road I’m confronted by old man. His name his says is Zha Shen. Luckily along my travels on my camel I was able to pick up the language along going further into china. He says “you aren’t around from around here I see, your darker than us and wear odd clothing and have brought weird tools we have never seen what brings you go the Qui Dynasty land.

Qin Dynasty The Qin Dynasty was the first united empire after the Warring States Period (Hyde). During the Warring States Period, the area of the Zhou Dynasty was separated into eight states. These states were ruled by kings and the states would often go to war, fighting for land. However, around 221 BC, Emperor Qin conquered all of the states, and combined them all into the Qin Dynasty (Wu).

The Sui, Tang, and Song Dynasties of China each offer numerous examples of how the past can influence the future. Ideas that were new at the time have become common-place in today’s world. And these Dynasties evolved to be very different from the ones that had come before.

Without order it would have been hard for our world to exist. Order is the tranquil or harmonious form of a culture, it can come in various ways. Without organization in a society there would be utter chaos. Egypt’s systems of order led to defined jobs, peace, and an easier living environment. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, China was able to discover the importance of order and respect in a society.

Qin Shi Huandgi -the 1st emperor of china- has proven his power, thro-wing 460 Confucian scholars into the endless pit in Xianyang City as a result of owning the forbidden books.
