Hello, I'm writing an essay for my Western Civilization class, The topic I chose was: I chose “The Roman Republic”. I think is an interesting period for a lot of different reasons. One of them because one of the earliest examples of representative democracy in the world, also they built aqueducts to supply water to cities and roads and I had the good fortune of living in a place with a lot of Roman ruins, Spain. I lived 13 years in Tarragona, which was known for the many Roman ruins that remain from when it was a colony called Tarraco, which was formed in 218 BC.
