In the 1960’s, he pioneered the opening of the restaurant in different malls in Atlanta. It has grown to become the largest quick service chicken restaurant chain in the United States based on their domestic annual sales and with over 1900 branches countrywide. The restaurant is privately held and family owned and has been progressing in the delivery of exclusive services to all their customers. If you are from the south, you have probably heard of the fast food chain Zaxby’s. With more than 660 locations[bandwagon, logos], the company is worth billions, all made possible by two young entrepreneurs, Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley. The two have been best friends since fifth grade, where they decided that there was a need for better chicken. Later, McLeroy sold his drum set- giving up his rockstar career to start the chicken joint- which now boasts a annual revenue of about 1.7 billion. [anecdote, pathos]

Although Chick-fil-A have become a restaurant giant, it is still controlled by Cathy family. They hold a special business model, they chose their franchisees really carefully. Although it is franchise, Cathy family still had ownership of every restaurant (Grantham, R., 2011).

As mention before, Restaurant Brands International is a merger company that contains Burger King, a coffee shop and a restaurant called Tim Hortons. Since it was a merger that occurred in 2014, there isn’t much info for the company; however, since Burger King has been almost as old as McDonalds so much of the info will come from Burger King. Burger King is practically the same as McDonalds created in 1950s yet a few years later after its competitor was born. The main difference of how it was created was that Burger King started off like a stove and that name of the stove was named Insta-Boiler.

Many of the patrons at the restaurant were donning U of M jerseys and the like.
