In my research, the information suggests that there is a strong associating with biological and psychological theories can be argued that the ideology can connect some sociological and economic theories. The review of the theories provided a wide range of possible leading variables, methodologies, ideologies that could be argued as political. Furthermore, political theories can be categorized as the political ideology for political
The person I am writing about is experiencing troubles with their thoughts and behavior. In social situations they have difficulty expressing emotions when in social gatherings, they can be paranoid and think there is someone watching them, and they have issue with separating what's real and imaginary due to voices that they hear in their head. Because of the hallucinations that they hear and the irrational thoughts and feelings that they experience, functioning in everyday life can be extremely difficult for them to do. The person suffers from schizophrenia. Biological A biological psychological theorist would say that the person in question is suffering from potentially a few different things that are causing the schizophrenia. There is a
The Biological and Psychological Trait Theories are theories that are used to try and explain deviance. Biological Trait Theory stems from the Italian School of Criminology (mid-nineteenth century), head by criminologist Cesare Lombroso. Lombroso argued that criminality was a biological trait found in humans. Lombroso’s idea of atavism connected an individual’s appearance and their biological inclination to criminal activity. The Psychological Trait Theory focused on the mental aspects of explaining criminal activity by evaluating their intelligence, personality, and learning behavior. There are three subunits of the Psychological Trait Theory, which are the psychodynamic theory, behavioral theory, and cognitive theory. Sigmund Freud developed the psychodynamic theory with his research of the conscious, preconscious, and unconscious functions of the mind. The behavioral theory is about developing human actions through learning experiences. It explains that crime is learned from life situations. People aren’t born with violent tendencies, rather it’s learned from life experiences. Three sources of this behavior are family, the media, and the environment. Cognitive theory focuses on how people perceive and mentally represent the world around them and solve problems. In the case of Jared Loughner, the psychological trait theory is the most applicable. With his diagnosis of being a paranoid schizophrenic, that connects him to both the psychodynamic perspective and
The political scientists note that ideologies perform four key functions which are explanatory, evaluation, orientation and programmatic. As we know that ideology is a cohesive set of ideas and beliefs that allows an individual to organize and evaluate the political world. The next ideologies perform key function is evaluation and this key functions help explain the meaning for evaluating different events that deal with political institutions and social conditions to distinguish if it’s good or bad. Orientation is the ideologies that basically sense of identity and locate any issues and positions relative that are orient as a social, political or cultural compass. Programmatic ideologies help the political make decision and guide them through their action and also what to do and how to do it.
I too agree with the sociocultural view. The biological and psychological perspectives appear to explain behavior predetermined by the way our brains are formed, or predict behavior according to different situations. The sociocultural perspective seems to give way for a persons ability to adjust behavior and be open minded to other types of behavior that does not come from the say cultural background than
Early classical, biological and psychological theories have helped shape the burgeoning world of criminology. Many of the ideas they held were unique, however, some key principles are still in use by there modern counterparts.
The levels of analysis explain the effects media violence has on behaviour in a three-level framework of biological, psychological and sociological perspectives. This essay will look at each level of analysis and how they help the understanding of media violence and its effects on behaviour and in conclusion explain the complexities of the interrelationships between the levels in explaining behaviour.
Socio-environmental and biological influences are the major contributing factors that increase the pattern of alcohol consumption amongst youth (Salom, Williams, Najan, & Alati, 2014). According to Toumbourou et al. (2013), major environmental factors include negative familial influences and peer pressure such as accepting the behaviour to drink alcohol increases the vulnerability of the youth to alcohol abuse in later life. Similarly, Carrotte, Dietze, Wright, and Lim (2016) outline that 60% of alcohol abusers were strongly influenced by their environmental, sociocultural norms and biological factors that shape the beliefs and behaviours of youth. According to Pettigrew, Biagioni, and Jongenelis (2016), alcohol abuse is common during the
Ideology is widely used to describe the underlying set of values, ideas, beliefs, and doctrine that shape the behavior approach to political, economic, social, culture, and or ecological activates of an individual or organization. The organization is mainly viewed through political party, government, multinational corporations, and community or activist group. Throughout this election, the ideology was seen as a functional way for the voters to support one another and their candidate. Unfortunately, often enough the shared ideology has a dysfunctional basis and outcome in both individual and socially with violent consequences that America has seen during the election. Frequently, a shared ideology is a functional way for like-minded people
Psychologists are usually concerned about human biology when they study mental activity. This is because “everything psychological is simultaneously biological.” Clearly this is evident when psychologists look at: cognition, emotions, language, perceptions, and attitudes.
What is political ideology and how does the basic theory help identify our moral values? Political ideology is defined as a set of beliefs and ideas that one can apply onto policies and events or one’s moral code and world view ("Political Ideology"). Our moral values are what tell us what is good or bad. It is the little voice inside us that lets us know something is wrong when we do something bad. The basic theory is that these values are how we are taught and choose to vote and politically decided what party best suits our ideals. These morals are what we look up to when we look for a candidate that we are choosing to vote for and help promote to family and friends to vote for. If we morally do not believe in the candidate than we moral
The American Psychological Association 2009 define biopsychosocial as “the systematic integration of the biological, psychological and social approaches of the study of mental health and specific mental disorders (p.48).” The human lifespan is primary base of the human grow process that start with the reproduction of cells, the development of the body, brain and internal organs that are developing during the pregnancy, birth, early, middle, and late childhood, adolescence, early, middle, and late adulthood until the end of life. Many careers today benefit from the foundational knowledge of biological psychology, some on the form of new understandings of technology and new understandings of brain and body communication. The selected research problem is the effects on stress in the reintegration process and how it can create obstacles when it comes to treating and trying assist reintegrating service members and their families. Using the foundational knowledge compiled from years of research in the field of psychology, neurobiology, and biological psychology. Using research done by other psychologists we will look at a hypothesis created based on the issue and explain how the hypothesis can be verified and the validity of the research.
Political theory refers to the study of the concepts and principles that people use to describe, clarify and evaluate political events and institutions.
