Jean is a care worker in a residential care home. Her job is to provide care for the physical, social and emotional needs of the residents she works with, as well as liaising with a variety of people who are linked with the residents.

As a program coordinator of healthy family services of the Catholic Charity she oversees five people who are involved with actual direct care while she works with them on one on one supervision and discuss the actual case. She is also most likely involved with an administration work like developing policies and guidelines. She also has to attend the team meetings with department of social services and school departments. Borden as a program coordinator says that the goal of the organization is to prevent and neglect teen mothers. The organization is based on a national level and works with various groups based on recommendation from hospitals and schools. The purpose of the organization is to develop positive parent skills, where organization has to search for the family profile of the patient.

Guiliana has an Instagram page dedicated to clean eating where she posts about her journey to exploring new ways to eat clean, stay active and raise awareness for positive body image. As Assistant Community Manager, Guiliana is Jessica’s sidekick and they work together as a team. Guiliana helps Jessica develop the semester strategy and makes sure that everyone on the Leadership Team stays on top of their work. She is responsible for staying on top of delegated tasks, identifies any inconsistencies or opportunities for improvement across chapter, and co-manages email communication. Other members of the e-board include the Events Coordinator and Marketer. The Events Coordinator’s has to figure out what workouts will be hosted, which speakers from the community should be brought in, and manages scheduling and logistics of meetings/ workouts. The Marketer is responsible for spreading the word about Fit University around the UConn campus. The Marketer, who is also known as the M, manages and executes all promotional activities, manages all social media, and co manages email communication with the Assistant Community Manager,

Using the interview guide, we interviewed Larissa, a Personal Support Worker (PSW) who works at Gary J. Armstrong (Gary J). Larissa has been working as a PSW for close to two decades and was able to provided valuable insight into her discipline. During the interview, Larissa discussed her role as PSW at Gary J and outlined the knowledge and skills required for her practice.

Kathryn was originally hired as a seasonal employee, but stayed on as a full-time employee. During her 15 years employment with our business, Kathryn’s duties include Handling Cash, Customer Service, Monitoring team members, and Team member performance reviews. Then in 2006, when she was promoted into a management position, her duties included Human Resources, Inventory control, working with reports on Microsoft Office 2010 and managing over 45 people.

As a Director of the Memory Care Unit, she is heavily involved in the community where she leads a support group once a month. Paige is a spokesperson for the Alzheimer’s Association for Frank at Seaside’s “Forget Me Not’s” which is in conjunction with the local Alzheimer’s Association. A great example of a ethical decision Macy’s has made is initiating The Company’s Compliance and Ethics program to promote ethical conduct and guarantee compliance with Company policies and applicable laws. To ensure the company is making moral decisions, The Company’s Compliance and Ethics program consists of “(i) the Compliance and Ethics Executive Committee, whose members are the Company’s Chief Legal Officer, Controller, VP of Internal Audit and Chief Compliance and Ethics Executive, and (ii) the Office of Compliance and Ethics, which is managed by the Chief Compliance and Ethics Executive who reports to the Chief Legal Officer. ABC Learning Ltd was an Australian provider of early child hood education services, founded in Queensland in 1988, that through its 18 centres was the largest single operator of early childhood education services in Australia by 1997. Led by founder Eddy Groves, ABC Learning Ltd continued to grow, through the opening of new centres and the acquisitions of rivals i.e. peppercorn Childcare in 2004 in which 450 centres were purchased for $340 million. “By 2008, ABC Learning was the largest provider of childcare, holding around 20 per cent of the long day care market and providing care to over 100 000 children” (Senate education, employment workplace relations committee, 2009).

In Gumdrop Company, there were various ethical issues identified when it was operating in America. The unethical aspects caused various problems to not only the company, but also other persons using its products. These issues eventually led to the closure of the company in America through corrupt and improper channels; but it opened up new branches in Argentina and Columbia.

Business ethics refers to the consideration of moral decisions and responsibilities in the process of operating a business. Business ethics, practiced throughout the deepest layers of a company, become the heart and soul of the company 's culture and can mean the difference between success and failure. Values drive behavior and therefore need to be consciously stated, but they also need to be affirmed by actions. Ethical business environments are created with foundations of integrity, accountability and commitment.

Ethical dilemmas are virtually impossible to avoid if you are a participant in the workforce. The definition of an ethical dilemma stands as a situation that challenges two or more “right” values that arise in a conflict (Treviño & Nelson, 2014). As ethical persons, how may we overcome ethical dilemmas and finish on the “right” side? The research mentioned in Trevino’s and Nelson’s book, “Managing Business Ethics: Straight Talk About How to Do It Right,” suggests that preparing for specific ethical challenges before a situation occurs can adequately prepare the workforce to better handle real-world applications when an ethical situation transpires. The notion that ethics is teachable inspires the following case analysis. The case analysis involving chemical safety will discuss the facts and issues, stakeholders, decision alternatives, and real-work constraints. Focusing on each of the previously mentioned topics, I will describe the applications using Utilitarian, Kantian Ethics, and Rawlsian Justice Analysis’s.
