Today, I will compare and contrast based on how the leading candidate for the Republican Party and the leading candidate for the Democratic Party are similar and differs. Also, I will educate about what is being said relating to some key issues. The key issues that are being discussed between the two parties are about the economy, immigration, and terrorism. First of all, the economy is affected because there are major issues that examines the difference between the policies and political positions such as taxes, the role of government, entitlements (Social Security, Medicare), gun control, immigration, healthcare, abortion, and gay rights. In many cases, when undocumented immigrants enter the US, they bring their families with them. When parents are discovered by immigration authorities and deported, this can create a family tragedy if the children are left behind. In 2009, about 38 percent of foreign-born people in the United States were from Mexico or Central America; the next-largest group came from Asia and accounted for 27 percent of the total foreign-born population. About one-fifth of naturalized U.S. citizens were from Mexico or Central America; more than one-third were from Asia. About half of the noncitizens living in the United States in 2009 were from Mexico or Central America, and about one-fifth were from Asia. An estimated 62 percent of noncitizens unauthorized to live in the United States were from Mexico.
