When comparing Han China and Classical Rome, many political, geographical, and religious similarities can be found, though many differences are also prevalent. Though Roman and Han political structures both emphasized bureaucracies, they came to them quite differently. Through copious amounts of expansion, both societies spread culture and earned money, though expansion was eventually their downfalls. Their religions differed immensely, with Rome emphasizing polytheism and Han China focusing on Confucianism. The differences and similarities between these two civilizations are to be discussed in this essay.

Just as the imposing pine tree and humble tomato plant may seem vastly different, their start from a lowly seed and craving for water and sunlight to survive unifies them. Such is also true with the Han and Roman empires. While key differences may be present, their social structures, influencing religions, and causes of collapse unify them.

The Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire both had a great influence not only on its people but the world as a whole. The two had similar and different methods of political control. Both ruled their people under a bureaucracy, they had civil servants to maintain their large empires, and their foundations were made of great and strong rulers. Aside from the similarities they also had several differences. Take China for example, they focused more on Confucianism and they had a Mandate of Heaven. Rome on the other hand used entertainment to distract and control the masses of its population.

Although Han China and Rome shared similarities in their techniques of imperial administration though military conquest and engineering’s aid toward the economy, they differed in their approach to land distribution.

Besides these similarities, the two empires also had several differences in terms of what had contributed to their downfalls. For one, the Han Dynasty had decentralization transpire and a rebellion. Han China believed in Buddhism, and Classical Athens believed in a religion of multiple complex gods, they even paid tribute to the gods. One of the best reasons classical Athens is different from Han China is because of their different forms of government. Athens believed in democratic government while Han China believed in an Imperial form of government. The other reason that they’re different from each other is because of the physical distance between the two empires. The distance between the two is roughly 7000 km and they pretty much had no influence over each other, because of the humongous distance (Doc 1).

Ancient China and ancient India are both important and interesting ancient civilizations. They are alike and unlike in many ways. Some significant ways in which ancient India and China are similar and different are religion, art, economics, politics, and social structure.

Han dynasty emerged into power back in 221BCE after the fall of Qin dynasty 206BCE. They were the original pioneers when it comes to political systems and structure of the society that lasted more than 2000 years in China. On the other hand, the Roman Empire controlled the western Mediterranean and they had various advancements in technology and science. The Romans had different engineering accomplishments considered to be different from those of the Han kingdom. They formed the basis of the establishment of the western legal codes. This research is aimed towards analysis the similarities and the differences between the Han dynasty and the Roman Empire. The consequences of their differences are also analyzed in this research.

The Persian and Athenian Empire had a lot of differences than similarities. There were different people who ran the Empires and they were ran very differently. Trade routes were different but some trade goods were similar to others. The Persian had one person running the empire while the Athenian Empire had many city states instead of one person ruling the whole Empire. Each Empire believed in different many gods, some believed in two gods, and some people in one god. A lot of them believed in different gods and The Athenian Empire believed in the same god. Throughout history many powerful civilizations have been established. Classical Athens Greece and Classical Han China both held dominance over their corresponding regions. Although Athens and Han China both experienced a Golden Age because of the build up of the states power, ultimately both civilizations differed greatly in their government structure, social ideals, and expression of art and intelligence.
