An extremely colossal portion of citizens around our gracious Earth has heard of or visited a McDonald’s. With it’s thousands upon thousands of well known and family-oriented buildings placed all over the world, McDonald’s exists in over 120 countries. Compared to the quantity of people worldwide that are conscious of McDonald’s, the portion who knows about Culver’s is quite slim. Culver’s is a fairly popular restaurant that exists only in America, and not even in every state. The question is, which restaurant is overly superior? The reason this occurs is because McDonald’s gets so much service that they are able to spread out to new places. This goes along with the fact since they are paid so much for their food, they can lower the prices considerably. For instance, any size drink is one dollar at McDonald's, while a large drink at Culver’s cost $2.29. Another example is how a cheeseburger at McDonald’s also costs one dollar, while a cheeseburger at Culver’s is $2.99. In fact, every single item at McDonald’s (besides multiple chicken nugget sets) is under seven dollars. However, at Culver’s everything is twelve dollars or less, five dollars more than McDonald’s. As mentioned, they can do this because they have more service. Obviously more people choose to go to McDonald’s. The food couldn’t have always been this cheap, which proves that it was always more popular among the citizens. The last thing is that Culver’s has more expensive food for mainly dinner or lunch, but McDonald’s has cheap prices for all three meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. McDonald's has successfully created a brand/name for itself as the leading fast food retailer in the world. It is somewhat of impossibility for one to not come across a McDonald's with over 30,000 local restaurants in over 100 countries (McDonald's, 2011). Those restaurants are owned either by a franchise owner or a corporation; a percentage of all the earnings from a franchise owner, including a percentage from their annual revenue go to McDonald's.
In the fast food wars, if annual sales and size is all one cares about then McDonalds is the sure leader but when looking at the things that are similar and yet different about each restaurant, Chick-Fil-A stands out far greater in one area. My favorite Mexican fast food restaurants are Taco Bell and Chipotle. Many people think there's no difference between the 2 restaurants, but there are many differences and similarities.

Within today’s modern society we like to have everything when we want and have it at any given time. Growing with that trend, modern fast food places like McDonald’s and In-N-Out Burger have giving their consumers that very thing. Even though In and out and McDonald’s have been around for years, both vary their menus and the way they appeal to their consumers with the change of time.
