The results of the questionnaire showed I had the highest percentage in interpersonal intelligence, followed closely by intrapersonal intelligence. After reviewing the multiple results, I feel like these two fit me perfectly! Furthermore, they incorporate an immense part of who I am, as well as the everyday contact I have with people. Interpersonal intelligence is a skill I utilize on a daily basis in my current career. Daily I deal with one on one interaction with my physicians, my coworkers and most importantly my patients, who so often require the additional care and sensitivity. I must ensure I make my patients feel comfortable to speak of their needs, as well as reassure them that everything in my office is being handled in a way that is productive to their care. Interpersonal skills also help me when I need to share the knowledge I have when my coworkers come to me seeking guidance on how certain things can be done, whether it be a question that pertains to how a test should be ordered on a patient or a question relating to the EMR we use. Intrapersonal skills come into play, as I seem to always be the go to person and I believe my friends, family and coworkers know that if I don’t know the answer I will search until I figure it out on my own. I feel the intrapersonal skills I possess allow me to be successful in all aspects of life, in my career I have moved up by showing the skills I possess through using them to improve my workplace.
