Social networking assists businesses in various different ways. While also helping people communicate more with others and to become more connected with them too. A fast and effortless way to spread and receive crucial information is through social media. In the beginning, it was just kids spending their time on websites like Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter. “Social media sites help employers find employees and Job-seekers find work (“Are Social Networking Sites Good for Our Society?”). Social media has given people the opportunity for them to connect with family and friends who live farther away. Ninety- three percent of adults on Facebook use it to connect with family members (“Are Social Networking Sites Good for Our Society?”). People are naturally social so it’s frequently quite fulfilling to see the comments and likes that show up from friends and family on their posts (Moreau). Lynne Johnson tells a story about the impact her Facebook had on her husband’s trip to the gas station. While Johnson’s husband was pumping gas, a “stranger” approached him by calling him by his name and saying hello. She says the man probably realized her husband was confused about how they knew each other, and explained to the husband that he was friends with Lynne on Facebook. The man said, “I know Lynne! I’ve never met her or you. I just follow Lynne on Facebook, so I feel like I know you” (Kerpen). This just shows that people from anywhere can connect with each other. Social media helps people who are shy or socially isolated connect with other people. Also it helps them come out of their shell because sometimes it is easier to talk to people through a screen. Social media has input certain beliefs into the minds of people while also taking away that time that could be spent with friends and family. A prevalent issue regarding social media and interactions exists between researchers and social network users. Social media is currently changing how relationships between people are created. Relationships can exist through people across the world through social media and can produce more emotional bonds with friends that you can see everyday. On the other hand, social media also could present conflicts due to the fact that some of these relationships can become unhealthy and that people could change to be more dependent on internet friends, becoming introverted.

The project aim at teenagers, therefore sample group is between 13 to 19. I will set the sample sizes in 50 participants since it is easy to identity and more precision. If a sample sizes increase, it is very hard to estimate and become not accurate. Also, I’m worry about the extremes data can’t make a balance out, so the project prefers small sample sizes. It can take less effort to gain and maintain people, it is easy to produce significant results and comfortable to find a group of people. I will obtain samples from friends or friends’ sister and brother.
