A person does not need to know the intimate or factual circumstances associated with those words to understand their symbolism. Sherman J. Alexie, is a short story written in the first person focusing on two Native American Men who grew up together on a Reservation for Native Americans but have been estranged from each other since they were teenagers. Victor who is the narrator of this story is a young man who lost faith in his culture and its traditions, while Thomas our second main character is a deeply rooted traditional storyteller. In the beginning of the story Victor, our Native American narrator learns the death of his father. Jobless and penniless, his only wish is to go to Phoenix, Arizona and bring back his father’s ashes and belongings to the reservation in Spokane. All individuals possess their set of values, principles, and integrities they have progressed over time, and they have all shaped their experiences and associations in life. In class we had learned about illegal immigration, though in a fairly detached way. This documentary was able to bring those studies and statistics to life. “The State of Arizona” follows the ongoing immigration situation in Arizona through the perspective of undocumented hispanics, those opposing illegal immigration, and legislators. While it was nice to have different points of view, it did still feel a bit biased towards the side advocating for a pathway to legalization. Nevertheless, it was very insightful and it heavily expanded my knowledge on the topic, specifically in Arizona.

Before we can identify the needs of customers and stakeholders, it is important that we can identify who our customers and stakeholders actually are.

This week’s assignment is about evaluating the quality issues of three organizations. The three sectors I chose to evaluate are manufacturing, service and government. I will then discuss the importance of quality to each organization, the relationship of quality to customers, the leadership commitment to quality and the alignment of quality to the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

Nestled in the foothills of the High Sonoran Desert, yet tucked up near the trails of the Pinnacle Peak Mountain lies the Four Seasons Scottsdale. It is among the towering Saguaro cacti and the charming adobe casitas where your relaxation will begin. During the drive up to the Seasons, you realize that the environment has slowly changed. The purpose of this paper is to define quality and its elements and explain why the elements of quality are useful in today’s environment. W. Edwards Deming is the pioneer chosen; how Deming used the total quality elements making him successful will be discussed. The future of quality will be addressed with my predictions for the end result.
