Frankenstein Final Essay: The Real Monsters
In Shelley’s Frankenstein, the monster is portrayed as a grotesque abomination. However, as Hopkins states in Contending Forces, the cultural and geographical situations, or lack thereof, in which one matures in play a crucial role in the proper development of one’s mind and brain. The monster is simply a product of circumstance. The lack of social interactions alongside geographical isolation propelled the daemon to be alienated from society, ultimately resulting in a lack of morals and an underdeveloped psyche. By being a culmination of his surroundings and experiences it is revealed that the true monstrous entities are the factors that leave the daemon predisposed to fail in a modern society. Arguably, Victor created a being, while the circumstances that said being was placed in “created” a monster. Shelley purposefully terrorizes the monster with such intensity to provoke and justify the overarching theme in this novel which states that people should not be judged on their physical appearance. The monster is forced to develop a neolithic mindset as opposed to modern day ideals after its maturation occurs in the wilderness. His savagery can be seen when he “silenced” Frankenstein’s son after realizing he “[belonged] to the enemy” (102). The daemon also “discovers” a fire for the first time, drawing a parallel to cavemen (72). Unfortunately, due to the lack of contact with the outside human world, the monster is unable to

Science is a broad field which covers many aspects of everyday life and existence. Some areas of science include the study of the universe, the environment, dinosaurs, animals, and insects. Another popular science is the study of people and how they function. In Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Dr. Victor Frankenstein is an inspiring scientist that studies the dead. He wants to be the first person to give life to a dead human being. He spends all of his time concentrating on this goal, and gives up his family and friends. When he finally accomplishes this, everything falls apart. So, Victor Frankenstein is to blame for the tragedy, not the monster he has created, because he is the mastermind behind the whole operation, and
By observing Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, it is shown that the monster is predominantly miss conceptualized as possessing a character that is entirely evil; but rather was placed in circumstances through his creation, interactions with society and his relationship with his creator that evicted
I think that victor should make the monster a “friend”. The monster has been in the wrong and maybe he needs someone to help him. I believe that he should make a woman monster because I feel like he owes the monster a partner because he just, made the monster and let him go. Secondly I believe that the monster needs a partner or a lover. Lastly if Frankenstein makes another monster he could perfect his science and maybe he’ll know what to do and know everything about his science.
Most people when thinking about Frankenstein’s monster they think of this ugly, horrible monster that will never be accepted into their society. Or that he, the monster, doesn’t understand what they are saying about him. And unlike everyone else he “doesn’t have feelings”. And at the time victor Frankenstein, the creator, thought that he was doing something good. Or something extraordinary, that no one has ever done which is true, but this could ruin his life. Because he is afraid of losing this life or his loved ones lives he agrees with the monster to make him a female companion, but does this mean endangerment for everyone?
The forest was almost silent that night. The moon cast its cold light over everything in its path, just bright enough to see, but dark enough to be unsure of what you thought you were seeing. Snow had fallen that day, but it had become so bitterly cold that it had mostly hardened into chunks of solid ice.
I was nearly blinded when I first looked into the eyes of this beast. Strangely, the wolf almost seemed to glow with a brilliant light when I saw him. His bright blue eyes and radiant, white fur seemed whiter than the snow itself. A large rabbit lay clenched firmly between the wolf’s sturdy maws. It started to growl again as I stood there, fear-stricken. I wasn’t quite sure what to do at this particular moment other than to stand still, and hope the wolf would lose interest.
The stars were gleaming in the night sky. Emily, Luke and Tim were eating cold tomato soup in the living area. It was horrid. The groundskeeper began to speak abruptly. “Now, I’m gonna tell you about an incident that happened right here in this building about 8 years ago. Kids just like you were sent here. It was night fall, and the atmosphere was eerie and uncalm. Something was about to go down. Something big! So, as I was saying, every child was heading off to bed when there was harsh sounding scream that came from upstairs. And then there was another after that. A girl and boy had been slaughtered. I looked up towards the staircase and saw a dark black figure with fiery red eyes. For one moment, the hideous looking creature was there, staring at me. The next, vanished!”
His wife sat up in bed listening. A loud knock resounded through the house. “It’s Herbert!” she screamed. “It’s Herbert!” She ran down stairs to the door. She opened the door quickly to greet her son, but to her surprise standing before her in the doorway was Mr smith the caretaker of the graveyard.
I hastily fled to my newest place of work. I had inhabited the world with a second creation. This demon, though a woman, was more terrifying and hideous than the first. A monstrous creature created only for longing of a new beginning. A world where I would forget this horrible deed I had bestowed upon the universe. I had only promised my first creation a companion, not a family. His companion would never get the chance to conceive, for no more demons will wreak havoc upon mankind. I fled knowing the creature was close looking for what I had promised him.
Throughout the novel, Frankenstein, a feminist theme subtly pervades the novel, and is crucial to the characters of the story, the plot line and the setting of the novel. The reasons for the creation of the monster lie within Frankenstein 's own familial relationships, especially with the grief he experienced at the loss of his mother.
The universe Of design She said that line to Jackson's corpse...It also goes with the fact that she's know him for I believe a year and some change at this point. Regardless of the fact that she was kicked out at age 13 by her foster parents for being a werewolf and murdering someone they were there for her up until then.
It was a cool Massachusetts night, the crowd for the House of Horrors was dwindling and the last tour was winding down, things would be wrapping up very soon.
