The top reason for my food choices was I try to get in the habit of selecting food items that serve as source of proteins like the salmon and bake or grill chicken because of the amount of time it is quick and easy to cook, it taste good and it very convenience to find in the grocery stores.

People are not as active, make poor eating choices, are indoors more often and always on the run. This is the results to an unhealthy culture. Most of the time I am out of control on my eating. I eat the food that I think is more benefit to me, but really it is not. Since I can journal analysis as a guideline of helping me which kind of food I can eat, I will use it to keep on tract what, why, when I can eat. I will keep on continue to go to the gym daily.
Unfortunately, as I was choosing from a vase variety of food products, I had to consider the price and the time required to prepare as I will be busy working all day. Thus, many of my food products I bought were not exactly healthy as they were often frozen and non-fresh. For instance, food products like frozen pizza and ramen noodles are instant foods and require microwaving, which is generally less healthy than cooked and fresh foods. As healthier foods are mostly more expensive than unhealthy foods, I was forced to give up healthiness to cut back on a few dollars. However, despite the difficult situation, I still managed to choose the healthier foods and tried to balance out the nutrients. In my brief time, that I have had in mr. Rudich PED 116 class. I have grown to learn a few things about myself, and my health and what I can do to improve it. First, starting with nutrition I have learned about the different types of fats, what foods are necessary to for our body and which ones to avoided. I have also redefined what a portion and serving sizes are. When the class participated in the diet analyst assignment and we recorded our eating habits for three days I believed before doing the assignment, that my diet and lifestyle were acceptable, but what I learned was quite the opposite.
