Currently, social media is the most popular method of communicating and interacting with others. It is a methodology to new media as it changes and evolves with our needs and expectations. Social media has evolved and adapted to become a huge part of our personal and professional lives.

Social Media are apps or websites that connect users to each other and allows for instant commentating on world events or just regular everyday activities. Social Media has been around for a very long time and people have tried to uproot all Social Media networks and get them shut down with neurological studies. There also have been people who fight for Social Media to stay a part of society.

Over the past decade mankind has rapidly progressed towards the digital age, increasingly relying on technology and online computing in order to complete everyday tasks. As such, mankind has leaped ahead, evolving many aspects of everyday life, easing processes and forever changing countless tasks. Social media has both negative and positive effects on society, it is up to the user to decide what impact they want to make. In order to make the right choices, we must dig in and research this topic thoroughly.

It all started in 1995, when Larry Page and Sergey Brin met at Stanford University. Larry was 22 years old and a University of Michigan graduate. Sergey was 21 years old at the time and was assigned to show Larry around campus. Larry Page decided to attend Stanford University and became close friends with Sergey Brin. In 1996, Larry and Sergey collaborates the search engine “BackRub”. Stanford servers could not handle too much bandwidth from BackRub the first year Larry and Sergey was running it. The following year in 1997, they registered Google.com on September 15th. Google was created by them so; it could be a mission to organize millions of information for the world to discover. Larry Page and Sergey Brin incorporated Google in California and they opened a bank account for the established company (Google Inc., 2013).

The project aim at teenagers, therefore sample group is between 13 to 19. I will set the sample sizes in 50 participants since it is easy to identity and more precision. If a sample sizes increase, it is very hard to estimate and become not accurate. Also, I’m worry about the extremes data can’t make a balance out, so the project prefers small sample sizes. It can take less effort to gain and maintain people, it is easy to produce significant results and comfortable to find a group of people. I will obtain samples from friends or friends’ sister and brother.
