HTML Coding
HTML coding is used broadly on the world-wide-web. Without coding on the internet, users the codes for a given website and produce what we see on our screens. This form of coding is what makes web browsing possible; the code writing system was invented by a man named Tim Berners-Lee (the same man who gives these codes an address on the internet) , a man who has been widely awarded and praised for his work on the internet. Initially, HTML coding is what makes web browsing on any web browser possible. Basically what web-browsers do is that they read certain codes or code languages. HTML or "Hypertext Markup Language" is one of the coding languages that web browsers read. The web browsers read and translate these codes, displaying and producing what we see on our computer monitors or any internet capable device. Hypertext Markup Language was invented by a man by the name of Tim Berners-Lee, he made this so he could use his coding language and have it be displayed on the World Wide Web. These coding languages were made to be used on the World Wide Web to provide data and information to scientist all around the world as well as to let these scientist collaborate together to pull information together. Although the word-wide-web had already been invented Sir Tim had to find a way to connect this information all together. The first versions of WWW ((what most people call “The Web”))) provide means for people around the world to exchange information between, to work together, to communicate, and to share documentation more efficiently. Tim Berners-Lee wrote the first browser (called WWW browser) and Web server in March 1991, allowing hypertext documents to be stored, fetched, and viewed. The Web can be seen as a tremendous document store where these documents (web pages) can be fetched by typing their address into a web browser. HTML is short for HyperText Markup Language. It is used in creating pages which are technically called as electronic documents that are displayed in World Wide Web. HTML code is used for writing almost every web page. It is responsible for the proper display of text, images or other media info over our web pages. Without HTML, web pages won’t display images and text is not displayed as they are intended to be.

Tim Berners-Lee has contributed the most to the advancement of internet technology. Tim Berners-Lee is a hero because he developed software that made the internet easier to access and navigate, with this it also improved worldwide communication, and he refused the money that came with his inventions. Tim Berners-Lee developed the protocol that unleashed the power of the internet. Berners-Lee developed three softwares, “Berners-Lee developed software containing processing for encoding documents (HTTP), linking them (HTML), and addressing them (URL).”(Citation B, P.2). These three software languages set the basis for what the internet is today.
Scientists in the same year began to create what is known as today as the Modern World Wide Web, the emergence of the modern Internet today. Several online web servers held information on pages of text known as websites, in which they each had their own website name to access (History of the Internet). A new application called the web browser was created in order to access all of the web pages available on the internet to the public. The way the information was presented on the web page was with a hypertext markup language (HTML); this would become a standard format to display informational text (Goel, Tarun). A URL link was also introduced on the web browser as an address to access web pages for the public. The result of the internet had changed how people have done research to access more information and how people have communicated with one another (Goel, Tarun).

Developing Web contents involves shaping and making many choices involving technical, aesthetic, and usability concerns. With the expanding technical options for communication on the World Wide Web, it is tempted to focus only on issues such as hypertext markup language (HTML) syntax, page layout, or the latest and flashiest technologies. However, there needs to be a broader approach in order to articulate the information content that is to be conveyed. There is also a need to pay attention to the characteristics and qualities of the Website as a medium for communication so that there are not merely duplicate practices intended for paper and other media.
In this day and age you can find almost anything online. You can access the web from your laptop, your phone, even your game consoles and televisions. We were born in a time where the web was always there for our convenience, but how many of us actually know where it all started?
