My original name is Carl Smith but my friends call me CS. I’m 23 years old, I’m from Virginia and during the last years I have been traveling around the 13 colonies to fight the British soldiers. The reason why I joined the American Army over 6 Months ago is because I’m single, and I also was unable to get a job that I wanted was unable to receive my diploma, because I was unable to afford the stamp to be stamped on the certificate. I also joined the army because I was tired of all these decisions the British government took for us because we had no authority for example I was tired of the Kings’ unacceptable taxes over some items for example the stamp act. Soldiers are not professionals in modern English, for they might well first enter a military school or buy a commission... The stamp act was a tax put it to every official document, the list included Contracts, newspapers, and playing cards. Important people to colonies had to purchase these stamps. After all the sales the colony would take a good amount of money from all the stamps they sold. This new revenue was to collect money from the different colonies in the U.S. This tariff it was supposedly used to protect the British colonies, but in reality it was used to pay the national debt that the Seven Years war left to Great Britain . David Bailey is an English author and photographer based in East London. Joseph Plumb Martin was born “upon the twenty-first of November, in the year of 1760” (Martin 6). His grandparents raised him on their Connecticut farm. Inspired by the Battles of Lexington and Concord he decided to enlist into the army. He was eager to help for the patriotic cause. In June of 1776, at the age of 15, Martin was able to enlist but didn’t want to sign up for a long enlistment. Soldiers at the time were enlisting for a year’s service but he did not like that and thought it was too long a time for him for the first trial, “I wished only to take a priming before I took upon me the whole coat of paint for a soldier” (Martin 16). Dean Edwards Smith (born on February 28, 1931) is a retired American head coach of men's college basketball. He is originally from Emporia, Kansas, Smith as been called a "coaching legend" by the Basketball Hall of Fame. Smith is best known for his successful 36-year coaching career at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Smith coached from 1961 to 1997 and retired as the NCAA Division I men's basketball record-holderfor victories (879), a record which was surpassed by Bobby Knightin 2007. Smith has the 9th highest winning percentage of any men's college basketball coach(77.6%). During his career as head coach of North Carolina, the team won two nationsl titles and appeared in 11 Final Fours.

Frederick Mckay was born in 1834 April 13 Lawrence, Massachusetts. Frederick went to public schools in Boston, Milford, Massachusetts. In his early career, he wanted to be a musician but he had health care problems that wouldn’t let him be successful. Fred worked in his father’s shop called the “ Dry Goods Store “ in Milford. Frederick was diagnosed with tuberculosis and moved to colorado in 1894. Mckay had some difficulties when he moved in colorado so he had to move back to Massachusetts.

How does Chad Smith achieve his goal of success? Well this accomplishment has not been so easy for him. This goal required Chad Smith to commit to a lot of hard demanding work throughout his whole life. With this work ethic Chad Smith has used he has achieved greatness as a rock and roll drummer.

Winston is a kind of innocent man in a world gone wrong, and it is through his character that the reader is able to understand as well as feel the suffering that engulfs the totalitarian society of Oceania.

The debate in the academic study of mysticism between Steven Katz and Robert Forman primarily refers to the origins and essence of mystical experiences. Katz’s argues that, “There are NO pure (i.e. unmediated) mystical experiences” (Katz, 26). Additionally, Katz articulates the problem of interpreting and verifying mystical experiences, thus alluding to the issue of whether or not mystical experiences can be classified. Comparatively, Robert Forman argues for the existence of what he refers to as Pure Consciousness Events (PCEs), whereby mystical experiences extend beyond language and culture. Each argument has its merits, however, I contend that Forman’s argument is the most articulate and accurate.

For my child study, I chose to observe Edison Smith. Edison is 2 years old and 11 months. His birthday is on November 30 2013, a healthy looking toddler. He has short curly hair and warm black eyes.
