The structure of the company Partners’ Health Care Company is structured tall. Power is centralized on the top levels and there is more employee control. The company president, Gary L. Gottie, whom served as the president of Brigham and Women’s Faulkner hospitals in March of 2002. The accounting function is described as a centralized function for all Partners entities. The functions are divided into teams that support various entities. Specialty areas include tax, finance systems, payroll, investment and fund accounting, special accounting, cash accounting, benefits accounting, general and capital accounting, consolidation & reporting. Business planning acts as an internal consulting group, providing key analyses, contributing to the development of recommendations for strategy. Strategic planning projects include but are not limited to operating unit heads, corporate-level business leaders, hospital CFOs, VPs and physician chiefs. Partners’ financial planning works on a broad range of strategic planning involving financial modeling and financial reporting analytics that support the Partners CFO and the Partners member institutions depending on leveraging fine-tuned collaboration and communication efforts to achieve.
