PERSONAL STATEMENT Outside of academic activities, I am quite involved in different forms of media and art. I began art around the age of seven and continue to do so today. As well as traditional art, I enjoy digital art; working with wacom tablets and programs such as Paint Tool Sai and Adobe Photoshop. I recently started my own online visual novel, with characters I have been developing since I was in 6th grade. I love creating my own storylines and characters; even though I often come up with ideals and scrap them. I have recently taken an interest in 3D modeling and hope to take a class in the subject in college. In addition, I also like to dabble in video editing and animation. I took interest in this around the age of eleven, using
When I began College at Colorado State University Pueblo with the intention to become a teacher I took a wide variety of art classes. From painting to ceramics to photography. I fell in love over and over and over again, and consider myself a jack of all trades. However I was drawn intensely into the world of Digital Art. There I felt I was able produce sharp, clean images that could easily be reprinted and sold again. I quickly
Along with science, my other biggest fascination is the arts. I draw, paint, write, and play guitar. I used to dance and do theater as well. When I put my mind to something, I can muster up extraordinary amounts of dedication: often,
With given a choice of what to write this paper, I could not get past the subtle nature of who we are as God’s creations. This fundamental truth of our identity is simplified with the truth of our identity in Jesus. We are created in God’s image with a purpose here on earth to display all of God’s greatness, His beauty, and to reveal all of His character aspects. Best of all, we are completely dependent on God. This new enlightenment of my identity in Christ as God’s creation will allow me to help people around the world become one with Christ by revealing the truth of their identity.
As a child I enjoyed drawing several objects, and I felt that I had a rare gift to express life through art. I hope to reinvest my time back into my childhood hobby upon graduation later this year.
The personal statement is very important to applicants who intend to be admitted to an undergraduate or graduate school. The role of a personal statement is to make applicants be different from other applicants. It mainly serves the purposes of persuading the admission committee of applicants’ great passion for the study field, explaining their experience that shaped their personality, demonstrating their longtime desire and commitment for the degree, and showing their life goals. What the admission committee is looking for in a personal statement varies from school to school, major to major. Art and Design is a unique program requiring its prospective students to be different in every aspect. The Art and Design Admission Committee is looking for a student who has creative potential in all respects. Hence, for those who want to apply to the School of Art and Design, they should understand how to present their stories, experiences, practice, goals, philosophy, inspirations, and aspirations in a creative way.

I was born the fourth of December 1991 in Cranbrook British Columbia. I lived there for 18 years. Before joining the military I worked as a fry cook at a Burger King for three years and held part time jobs working for the College of the Rockies summer camp programs during the summer. My parents are currently living together in Cranbrook BC. My father works outside the province testing railway tracks for two months at a time, then returns home for two to three weeks. My mother acts as the main contact point of the family, she works as a financial clerk. I have a 22 year old sister who will be attending university in Calgary this September. I attended Mount Baker Secondary School in Cranbrook and graduated in 2009
But then I got really involved when I realized how entertainment can be an intervention for kids--theater-based intervention, school programs. As a resulte, I think I became more interested in writing than acting. When you write, you can really delve into characters in almost a spiritual way. I liked being able to create and control an entire world.

Hi there! I'm Alexandria (also known as Artzyfartzy on Youtube & Instagram). For as long as I can remember I have loved to create things. I remember as far back as 6 years old, I would look around outside looking for interesting finds that I could add to my little craft stash of supplies. I've also been drawing for as long as I could hold a pencil. I loved to draw as a child. Throughout my twenties I focused mostly on scrapbooking. As time went on I have tried just about every craft imaginable! I crochet, sew, make jewelry and love bookbinding arts. During my early 30's I started my own crafty consignment shop online called Fashion Compassion. This was way before Etsy even exisited! :)
studied various art mediums to explore creative talents. In my junior year, I decided to
I generally create artwork about the depth of emotional identity and social interactions that adolescent children have to deal with.

Art. To me is something undefinable, what I want my art to show you is a piece of myself and a piece of yourself. Something we can all relate to; a memory, a song, a poem, art should make you feel something. Art is a gift, a tool we can use to hide beauty in ordinary places and things. I want to broaden my understanding of design and the world that art is beyond my knowledge and experiences. Because my love for creating burns so bright and deep within me, I am determined to find a career path that will allow me to explore the world of design and art every day. A number of art forms are endless and this seems like a daunting task to find just one path that can express the enjoyment and involvement I want to have with art. Throughout my life I have been endlessly drawing, painting, sculpting and creating--often times I feel almost cursed with such talent to create because the ability seems endless. I have taken a number of art classes exploring my passions as a High School Student and created many different types of works including oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings; etching, embossed, and screen printmaking; charcoal, graphite, and pastel drawings; Sculpting with ceramics and plaster as well as wheel pieces. I find that there is few mediums I have yet to experiment with. I have become accustomed to Acrylic paintings as I have recently started to create paintings and sell them to community members. I participated in a local art fair and it opened my eyes to what art
