There are many men and women who want to become rappers. Some may want to rap because it’s their passion and some may want to rap to send positive messages to the youth and try to better the community. Jack Black is very funny. He steals movies where he has supporting parts like High Fidelity, and his performance with Will Ferrell at the Oscars was the highlight of a very predictable awards show. Black’s persona is a fascinating paradox; I like the oxymoron that Entertainment Weekly recently created for him: the frenetic slacker. Black’s characters seem to be very passionate, but that energy is reserved for activities that seem to serve little “productive” value in our current economic order. Hence Barry, the part-time clerk who puts in full-time hours at Championship Vinyl in High Fidelity and berates customers whose tastes he finds offensive. Where the lead character Rob comes to the realization that emotionally he’s been living in an
Mark Zuckerberg did not have the routine high school experience. Unless, being recognized by Bill Gates for programing and offered millions is normal. During his high school years, Mark created a software called Synapse, a music player that is capable of identifying your musical preferences. Synapse was rated and reviewed rather positively in worldwide technology digests. After this program, Zuckerberg initially was recognized by Microsoft. Microsoft offered Zuckerberg a bountiful selection of jobs and even offered to buy his software. AOL tried to recruit Mark in order to gain possession of this software. Although, Zuckerberg denied these offers and the chance to be a millionaire and enrolled in Harvard University. He entered his college years with a reputation from Synapse, as a high school programing prodigy.
