For those who do not know, artificial intelligence is exactly what is called, an "intelligence" through a computer that is artificially created by humans. A.I. is defined to be able to learn and use the information it learns to produce "thoughts" of its own, almost as if it were a thinking human. Though many may believe A.I. is just a robot which is able to speak and understand humans, it is much more than that. A.I. technologies are being implemented in smartphones, homes, cars, watches, headphones, and is also being developed to work in many more ways that help give humanity an easier life.

Suddenly society has a workforce of robots and humans are out of jobs because robots are cheaper and more reliable. AI is supposed to learn to act at or above Human performance levels (7). This definition in itself scares people knowing that the purpose of these machines is to be as smart as and eventually smarter than Humans.

The movie WALL-E is set about 700 years into the Earth’s future. The Earth was shown to be completely contaminated so that no more plant and animal could survive. The last of the surviving human population were safely taken into the spaceship Axiom, where they were originally planned to live for 5 years until Earth becomes habitable again. WALL-Es, which are Waste Allocation Load Lifter: Earth class robots were tasked to perform the clean-up operation. However, the clean-up operation was unsuccessful and the supposed five-year cruise turned into seven centuries in space, and only a single WALL-E was left. Not entirely alone WALL-E’s only companion is Hal, a cockroach. Still, WALL-E continued to perform his tasks, building structures from garbage.

The film "WALL-E," directed by Andrew Stanton, which depicts a future where humans have lost the ability to think for themselves along with their individuality due to the advanced technology in the Axiom. The film follows a destroyed planet (Earth), which demonstrates about the lazy humans who have lost the power to think for themselves. It also emphasises the humans lost their individuality due to the electronics in the Axiom. However, Wall-e alters the humans and robots' lives aboard the Axiom. Eventually, all the humans get to know about their surroundings, without being dependent on any robots.

Everyone goes to school and everyone has a job of their choice. In an automated environment, our bodies will not be stressed by excessive amounts of work or stress due to expenses or a condescending boss. People can focus on bigger issues like diseases, longevity, molecular biology, quantum physics, more efficient space, water and land travel, relationships with family, friends and your community. We will always have a need for people to understand social issues; we are still humans, and require an understanding of our, innate habits, and desires, in any new culture, environment or circumstance. Automation of the world, can save and promote a better living for many cultures that are currently starving, homeless or lack proper water to drink. Every person on earth deserves to have the necessities of food, water and education; an opportunity to become someone of value to their community. One day we will travel throughout our solar system, possibly beyond; using new and better materials, we find along the way on distant planets and asteroids; to create and to learn. The movie Wall-E was about a small robot named Wall E whose job was to clean up the earth while the humans were gone on a large floating city in space called the Axiom because the earth was too dirty to live on; they were supposed to be away from earth for a few years but they ended up spending 700 years on the Axiom. Wall-E was the last remaining robot that was given the job to make earth great again. The movie made it clear that this robot was alive and had feelings, but one day he saw a robot named Eve and fell in love with her. Many wonder if Artificial Intelligence (AI) could be beneficial to humanity. AI has been around for only a few years. Voice Assistants such as Bixby and Siri help people maneuver through screen selection, apps and much more on their cell phones easier and faster. AI is slowly getting better, with things such as self-driving cars and robotic relations. There are two types of AI, weak AI and strong AI. Weak AI are things we have today such as those listed above (Siri and Bixby), and the strong AI are what researchers are currently working towards. There are many ways that AI could be useful in our lives, it can help us to move forward in technology that we have yet to make many advances in, it can also make everyday complications and annoyances much easier for humans.

I believe that the benefits of developing full AI outweigh the dangers, as long as AI is developed as an addition to human thinking rather than a replacement. Through the process of developing AI, scientists can learn more about how human cognition works. Right now, the scientific community does not fully understand intelligence, learning or consciousness. To build a fully operational AI computer programmers either need to understand all aspects of intelligence and put them together in one place or design a machine that can learn. Cog the robot is an example of the latter. Cog’s researchers have discovered how difficult it is for a machine to learn like a human. Although the Cog project ended in 2003, Cog possessed about as much knowledge as a 6-month-old baby.

Recently, the increased capability of technology has led to the possibility of creating AGI. This development is driven by the belief that AGI can assist us in completing a task more efficiently. However, since AGI can achieve any task undertaken by a human, it can effectively replace us in jobs. Additionally, AGI can be exploited and programmed by human beings with malicious intent to accomplish destructive tasks. Most importantly, as AGI can act comparable to a human being, it can achieve its goals by unethical means. Therefore, with all these risks involved, AGI should not be created.
