Healthcare:
The Thoughts of Hillary Clinton
The presidential election is just over a week away, and the further into the race the candidates get, the more important the topics seem to become. One of the hottest topics is health care because it affects every single person in America. Two incredibly important health care subjects that Hillary Clinton has debated and that may affect the outcome are abortion and Obamacare.
Most people would say abortion is a common health care topic, and a pretty serious one. Clinton is pro-choice because she believes that all mothers should be able to make their own decision regarding their pregnancy (Should Abortion be Legal?). While fighting with Trump on this topic, she stated, “I’ve been proud to stand

Clinton believes that with the right leaders, she can make Obamacare successful (James Passeri). She thinks Republicans should “stop trying to tear down the law” and that they should work more cooperatively (Is Obamacare good for America?). She claimed,"I applaud the Supreme Court's decision to affirm what the authors of the Affordable Care Act [Obamacare] clearly intended and wrote into law: that health insurance should be affordable and available in every state across the country…”(Is Obamacare good for America?). Clinton thinks that with the right leaders and the right training, Obamacare will be successful. She thinks that Obamacare isn’t perfect, but it is indeed working (Is Obamacare good for America?).
Clinton wants to “crack down” on drug facilities that charge overpriced merchandise (James Passeri). If she becomes President, she wants to lower costs of the Affordable Care Act (Is Obamacare good for America?). Clinton said that Obamacare is clearly working because sixteen million people have gained coverage, so she is going to work hard on Obamacare to keep it working (Is Obamacare good for America?).
Clinton clearly thinks that health care is very important. Her focus is on keeping abortion legal and supporting the mother’s right to choose. She also thinks that Obamacare works and will continue to be helpful for many people if she makes some improvements to the system. (Is Obamacare good for
In 1993 First lady Hillary Clinton was assigned to a proposal to reform healthcare with the goal to become universal by US president Bill Clinton, this reform was titled Task Force on National Health Care Reform (Boundless, n.d.). At that time, 37 million Americans did not have health insurance and the cost to obtain health insurance was very unaffordable to the middle class (Boundless, n.d.). The main purpose of this reform was to mandate employers to provide health coverage to all employees HMOs’. However, this reform was aggressively opposed by the health insurance industry, libertarians, and conservative republicans stating that it was restrictive to the employees choice (Boundless, n.d.). Additionally, they argued that the proposal a
One of the biggest concern of the nation is the health care, because more then half a million people do not have insurance. The Democratic and Republican worked together to improve the issue, but there was not any solution through any of our past president. Until President Barak Obama signed and passed the Affordable Care Act on March 23, 2010, which is also known as ObamaCare. This act reforms the combination of control health care cost, and the development of coverage through the public and private insurance
During the current election, healthcare reform has been a rousing topic that has raised a lot of support for the candidates and also concern for their future plans. For healthcare administrators, this is important so they can strategically start planning for the election results because the effects on healthcare will be major and will not be able to happen overnight. Hillary Clinton plans to simply modify the Affordable Care Act and add a public option; while on the other hand, Donald Trump wants to abolish the Affordable Care Act entirely and replace it with a health savings account and a high deductible and high premium driven system (HDHP). Both of these possibilities affect healthcare and the iron triangle, but they affect the triangle in different ways, which is important for healthcare administrators to prepare for.
The issue of healthcare coverage under the federal health reform has been politically debated by many Americans, including the current Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. The healthcare reform enacted in 2010 under President Obama’s regime intended to support the ongoing healthcare system as a building block to enhance more access to health insurance coverage for millions of uninsured Americans; yet the government’s tireless effort to ensure all individuals are covered remains a major issue across the country.
Our new elect- President Donald Trump has many goals he desires to accomplish within his four-year term, and one of which is improving health care. Former President, Barack Obama created Obamacare for people to use as a more effective and affordable health insurance. Many Democrats are protesting for their right to keep this Affordable Care Act; however, President Donald Trump is in the process of replacing this health insurance. One huge supporter of the Affordable Care Act is Hillary Clinton; former opponent of President Trump. Hillary Clinton’s plans for health care included to defend and expand the Affordable Care Act, bring down out-of-pocket costs like copays and deductibles, reduce the cost of prescription drugs, protect consumers from unjustified prescription drug price increases from companies, and fight for health insurance for the lowest-income Americans (“Hillary on Health Care” 1). Most of Clinton’s goals were already in involved with Obamacare, and she aspired to push Obamacare to its’ fullest advantage by helping it become enhanced and
One major part of her health care policy is that she seeks to improve rather than remove the Affordable Care Act (Clinton). The ACA has given many people the chance to have insurance, especially those who would have never had a chance due to preexisting conditions. It has also allowed parents to keep their children on their insurance up to age 26. Clinton recognizes the importance of the ACA, but she also sees rising costs that make it very difficult for many Americans to afford insurance. To combat rising costs, Clinton wants to increase tax credits and get insurance companies to seek enrollment more intensely which would lower costs in regards to the ACA (Clinton).
Over the years, the prices have inflated so much that Americans felt the Affordable Care Act was not providing the services it was supposed to; Lower health costs, helps with insurance companies paying out, provide a greater coverage etc. Hillary feels that this area can be targeted to help reduce costs greatly and bring back the meaning of the Affordable Care Act so that the people of America will actually gain from this.
Another important topic addressed my Obama Care would be the prices for a woman’s health care premium. Obama care addresses this topic head on by attempting to lower the cost of health care for women significantly. This would allow women to have closer to the same rates as women. This is a significant factor implemented into the Affordable Care Act due to the preventative care required for frequently than men such as mammograms, check ups, and annual health screenings. However, you these principles will not be implemented immediately, but more over
Hillary Clinton is the best candidate for the President of the United States because of the goals that she has accomplished in the past, and the goals that she has for the future of the country. In 1969, she got her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College majoring in political science and in 1973 she got her Juris Doctor degree from Yale. After that she helped to pass laws that helped children greatly. Also, she’s been a strong advocate for human rights and women’s rights. In addition, she is a big believer in gun violence prevention and making mental health care accessible to everyone who needs it. She also has experience as First Lady, state senator, and Secretary of State.
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have very different views on health care. Trump wishes to repeal the Obamacare act and instead use universal health care. He states that “everyone will be take care of” and that the premiums people pay now are way too high and are causing more harm than good. Hillary wishes to keep and the Affordable Health Care Act. Both candidates wish to improve the health care policies we have today but Trump’s plan is much more extensive than
Making funds affordable and giving people the ability to pay is creating better stability for this country. Hillary Clinton agrees with affordable healthcare and making it so people would actually be able to pay for healthcare. She says “Make sure the economy works for everybody” meaning that no
Hillary Clinton might not have all the positives but for the large part understands what has to be done to at least move forward to a brighter future for every person living in America. Health care, education and the right to fight to become a legal citizen is something that can take time still, in the long run, it can end up as a positive. In addition, nothing is perfect that’s why patience has to be a paramount aspect when it comes to any reform. If Hillary Clinton’s reform is introduced and passed it probably won’t be effective during the early stages and might have some restructuring to do, yet it’s still better to anything the American government has proposed over the last couple of years. The issue of immigration will continue to be important to the American public if nothing is done to publicly and lawfully address the situation. Hillary Clinton's proposal can at the least be a stepping stone towards an improved relationship between immigration and the
She says that she is for abortion to a point, but is also very against. Clinton says “let woman decide”. It is only their right. She doesn’t think it is right for a congressman who has never met her, or even a judge that has spoken with her for only a minute to make that decision. Woman should have the ability to decide whether and when to become a mother.
When all this started to occur Clinton felt that the majority of the public who were in favor of healthcare reform, he made healthcare a primary weapon in his election campaigns. With him winning the presidential election the issue of healthcare reform came to forefront. It was made
My talk will be about Hillary Clinton. First of all there is to say that she is running for president this year. Let me go on by telling some basic facts about her life and her political career. Hillary is married to Americas Ex president Bill Clinton. Back in 2007, she wanted to line up the first time as democratic candidate for the president’s election. In the end, Obama won against her, who later appointed her Secretary of State in his cabinet. Another aspect is her political goals for Americas future. She basically wants to enable illegal immigrants to live legally in the USA. Furthermore her goal is to protect climate change and to get more employment places. Moreover she wants to stabilize trade unions and to improve workers rights. The
