The improved spreadsheets were inserted in the system with new datasets on testing basis for storing the patrons and organizations data that could be used for segmentation and decision making. Two team members were given the responsibility of transferring the old data of patrons into the system. I was assisting the team leader in reporting, tracking, fixing and retesting the defects in the system. It continued for a period of more than a week till the data management system reached the quality standards to reduce data redundancy to the minimum. Reflection
During this phase, I felt that team collaboration was very important for developing and testing a product. The relational database management system would be more appropriate to replace the existing structure of library system. But, adding new datasets in the existing data library system was the best solution keeping in view the financial constraints of the project. The time spent on security measures, data backup and reduction of duplication could be saved in this project, if relational database management system would be adopted. The latest technology is used for making the work and environment of Inspiration Space more accessible and faster.
