The american revolution was not revolutionary. The impact of the war was not the cause of change for some of the categories, but was further down the line during other times. the revolution was not revolutionary because it inflicted moderate change in the political and social categories and inflicted no change in the aspects of Slavery

Many claim the American revolution to be conservative; however, evidence suggests otherwise. Throughout the Eighteenth Century, short term and long term changes occurred within Colonial America. Some of the rapid changes include, and are not limited to, the change of government, the mobility of social status to even the poor, and how mercantilism rapidly changed into capitalism.

The evidence shows a British soldier fired the first shot of the American Revolutionary War. In November 1775, seven hundred overconfident and armed British troops congregated in Lexington at dawn to begin their assault on the Colonists. They were ordered to confiscate any hidden weaponry the Colonists possessed. The Colonists did not want to fight and had set up just a meager defense. British soldiers surrounded and disarmed the militia.

In my opinion the Boston Tea party, The Intolerable Acts, and The Proclamation were the three main causes of the Revolutionary war. The Boston Tea Party and the Intolerable acts caused some friction but not the most. The main cause that started the war was the intolerable acts.

Patriotism defines America like no other continent. The victory of the Seven Years’ War evoked the patriotism in the inhabitants of North America, however, the aftermath of the war led to a series of events that would create a domino effect, resulting in the Revolutionary War. The outset of this domino effect was the taxation passed by the Parliament to reduce the debt after the war, named Stamp Act. The impact of this taxation was extremely poignant since it was the first direct taxation applied to the population of the colony. Through the employment of boycotts as a form of rebellion, Americans manifested that the tax seemed outrageous since it was meant to collect a profit rather than to regulate trade.

They appeared after the war to the royal commission demanding the reimbursement of their losses during the war. They did not secure anything. Many remained a loyalist because of the revolutionary assemblies who had revenge against those who rejected the revolution and could not vote. The revolutionary war was 'revolutionary' in the fact that is was a radical and unique struggle, which resulted in the transformation of America into a unified country, which was not afraid to express or act on their shockingly new way of living. They became the first country to enact a new democratic government, they unified diverse and opposing colonies, and spoke freely of their rights, as they were people who had the ability to strike back at those who threatened their liberty. In essence, this 'revolutionary' country was new, outspoken, and confident in what they wanted.

To win the Revolutionary War, there were three crucial factors. First, the unity was solidified when the rebellious consciousness was aroused and thus united the American against the British. Secondly, it was the military force that translated into action the thoughts of rebellion. Lastly, the logistic supports from the grass roots allowed the army to fight without worrying about the food shortages. These factors which constantly affected each other made the united Americans strong and competitive enough to fight with Britain and win the war.

The "country party" in Britain, whose critique of British government emphasized that corruption was to be feared, influenced American politicians. The commitment of most Americans to republican values and to their rights, helped bring about the American Revolution, as Britain was increasingly seen as hopelessly corrupt and hostile to American interests; it seemed to threaten to the established liberties that Americans enjoyed. The greatest threat to liberty was depicted as corruption. The colonists associated it with luxury and, especially, inherited aristocracy, which they condemned.

In Britain's attempt to pay for their war debts, they have implemented many changes such as a form of government that is far more suitable for their society than American colonies. Our sore under representation in Parliament and expectation to pay high taxes, will not result in favorable outcomes. I believe that as Americans we have complete right to independence without the influence of British military or government, nor should we be in charge of paying for British war debts. We, should not be governed under British rule simply under the account that we share a similar language and culture, nor are we in need of military protection on behalf of the British.
